Oh - thanks for asking!

I am feeling pretty good. I have had ZERO morning sickness which alot of my women friends are hating me for LOL
I had a bit of a cold last week, but was able to drink enough orange juice and am now feeling better. The cough is holding on though.

I have quit smoking 100%. I did NOT want to be a pregnant smoker and have wanted to quit before I found out I was pregnant, but had trouble. This is great motivation!

I am a little tired, but I think I am slowly getting over that too. Thank goodness! Because my house is such a mess! My husband has been wonderful, but now I have to hunt for my pots and pans because they have all been put "where ever" LOL.

So all in all - I am feeling great. Extremely excited and doing well.

Thank you for asking

Congrats on quiting smoking! I'm unfortunately a second-hand smoker and have been working on my friends - but no such luck getting them to give up their "life support" as they refer to it.

Glad to hear you and the baby are doing great! When do you find out if there's more than one?

LOL - I guess I would find out October 22. Although I am pretty confident it is just one. I haven't gained too much weight so I would assume there is only one baby in there.

Although - you never know LOL - would pay to see money for the look on my face if she says - OHMIGOSH it's twins LOL. May need to have a camera ready hehe

That could be arranged for a certain price. Several doctors are good at playing practical jokes like that! Just as long as we can submit the video to America's Funniest Video and I want some of the cash prize! <evil laugh>

Edit: Er.. or Canada's Funniest Video.. whichever has the biggest cash prize!

LOL - How about I just send you $5 Canadian Dollars and we can just save ourselves the cameras, doctors etc LOL.

I really am not worried about me, but my husband would definately faint LOL. He's all calm, but I think some of that would fade if we had to start shopping for two of everything LOL

Don't be too sure weight gain doesn't mean there are two babies. I lost weight in my first Trim. with all three kids and my doctor thought I was having twins with my first pregnancy.
Hardly can wait to find out Oct. to find out if there are one or two or maybe more. Just having fun with you!
Do you want to know the sex?

We aren't going to find out the sex until we have it. Just because we want the surprise. We have our names chose already for boy or girl.

My sister is having a baby right away and I just found that when she goes in to have her baby - the excitement of having the baby is all there is. No wondering what she's having. We already know what she's having and what they are naming it. (Hope this doesn't sound rude LOL- I just like the excitement of surprise)

We aren't telling anyone the names and we aren't finding out the sex.

I think it's nice to not know, at least for the first, so you get that 'It's a ...' moment. We asked about our second but it was more for practical reasons, like colour of clothes, nursery etc.
When's your due date?

I am due April 18. My husbands birthday is May 4. So it would be pretty cool if it was then. It's like a pattern in my family. My mom is born on my grandma's birtday. I am born on my other grandma's birthday.

Pretty cool

I think that's great that you are not finding out the sex of the baby ahead of time. That takes all the fun out of it! When my sister's baby was born, my parents called to tell me that my nephew was here and it was so anticlimatic! It is much more fun if you and everyone else doesn't know.
In my case, that's what kept me going during my long labor. I couldn't wait to find out what it was! If I had known, I probably would have been cussing that baby out. (My first son was turned the wrong way, got stuck and I had back labor forever. I couldn't wait for that baby to get out!) My second one was a planned C-section so it really wouldn't have been any fun if we had known ahead of time. I love surprises!

Okay, so I don't like surprises. We knew I was having boys all three times, but the third baby I denied was a boy until after birth. I was hoping for a girl, but God decided I'd be a better mom to boys.

One of my colleagues told me today that his two girls were both born on May 15th six years apart - think of the cost!
My daughter was born on Friday the 13th (May) then my son was born Friday 20th (September). when it came up to Friday 13th again and I was 38 weeks with him, I thought 'if I have 2 children born that day, there's something seriously wrong!!'

Madeline was born Friday Feb 13. I think that was the best Friday the 13th I ever had. She was an easy delivery.
