I can't believe it! I am finally going to get to meet Michelle (and 2 of her kids). We live on opposite sides of the city, probably about 45 minutes from each other. We are going to meet halfway at a restaurant for lunch.
This is so overdue! I have been wanting to meet her for a long time. I know what she looks like, but she has no idea what I look like. This should be interesting!
I feel like I'm meeting my long-lost sister. I am so excited! I'm sure she is just as beautiful in person as she is online.

Your comments are so sweet, I'm so anxious to meet my friend BL who has been SOOOOO sweet to me especially when I was having that surgery and WAITING for it so long, it's about time we finally did what we've been saying we NEED to do. And I don't know what you look like but I don't really "picture" people so much, I get a "feel" for people (if that makes sense). I'll recognize ya!

We had such a DELIGHTFUL time and even with my kids climbing everywhere and keepign things INTERESTING, BL is so patient and fun with kids and reminding me of when her boys were this age, it was just wonderful and fun and can't wait to do it again, don't know what took us so long to do it this time - sometimes you can't overplan you just have to DO something!
And yall, she showed me pics of her sons - they are HANDSOME!! man!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, here's pics - she has the most beautiful blue eyes, hope that shows up here. One I have to show, Sarah had gotten hurt in the playroom and wouldn't leave my lap, too sweet - it was an EVENTFUL lunch, let me tell you...

I am still smiling. I can't believe I finally got to meet Michelle. She is just a sweetheart, and is just as pretty (or prettier) than her picture and so down-to-earth. I know everyone in the restaurant thought we were nuts, because we kept hugging each other and taking pictures! I felt like I was meeting my long-lost sister for the first time!
And I got to meet Luke, Aaron, and Sarah---her three precious children. They are all adorable. We giggled like two schoolgirls while the kids ate chicken nuggets and played on the playground.
I can't wait to get to see Michelle again. We are making plans to get together again---just the two of us, maybe for a nice relaxing dinner one evening.
Ok, so now you all know how fat I am. I am embarrassed that you are seeing a picture of me at the highest weight I've ever been. I look like a whale! Oh well. my body is falling apart, but my mind is still ok (I think.) Ha!
Now I want to meet the rest of you.

Not what I thought AT ALL! You are by no means very plain or plain for that matter! You certainly don't give yourself any credit for your looks! You look kind, sweet and pretty too! You said you weren't a foo foo type. You might not be foo foo but you are certainly not plain!!!!

Thank you for your sweet comments~ I am very self conscious about my looks because of all the weight I've gained over the past year. Maybe, just maybe I will get it off soon! I just can't seem to get motivated! I need to go back to Weight Watchers, but when I was on it, my tummy killed me because they stress high FIBER!!! (raw veggies, fruits, whole grains, etc.)

I'm not a natural blonde. My hair is mousey brown, with lots of gray! (teenagers do that to you!) So I have it highlighted, trying to hide the grays!

Oh my gosh you ladies are SO, SO pretty. Michelle, your little girl is so cute in the pic. I LOVE that cute hairdo of hers. (I can't wait until my youngest granddaughter has enough hair to pull up like that!)
BL, you have no reason whatsoever to not like how you look, cause you are absolutely beautiful. If I had a gorgeous face and stunning eyes like you have, I'd be wanting to show myself off. I'm not kidding you!

You are very sweet, but actually, I felt so blessed that Michelle took time out of her busy life to meet me. She has three small children, is moving next week and needed to pack, and I'm not exactly her age! But I feel that our meeting was meant to be. God does provide things for us when we need it. I was feeling so lonely this week (and maybe you remember, but I couldn't quit crying), but ever since I met Michelle for lunch, I have been smiling. She is such a beautiful person (inside and out) and just seeing her interact with her children was such a joy for me!
I live in a section of town where unfortunately, physical attributes and how much money and material things a person has is important, and I get so sick and tired of that. It was so refreshing to meet someone who was truly genuine and kind in heart and was not judging me by my looks or what I owned.
Right before I left to meet Michelle, I walked out my apartment door to walk my dogs and there was this woman standing on the sidewalk. She wanted to know if the car in front of her was mine and she asked me if I could move it so the moving van could get to her apartment. I did, and then she introduced herself, saying she was moving from Southern California and was wanting to make some new friends. She said she was hoping she'd meet someone who could show her around town and could possibly go with her to look for some new furniture. I love furniture shopping and am, in fact, searching for some pieces for my new house! I thought to myself that this was no coincidence. In my rage the day before, I had prayed that God would send me some new friends.
First, Michelle asks me to meet her for lunch, and then, a new woman my age (with similar interests) moves into the apartment across from me!!!
God is good!
