I haven't posted in awhile again...I have been very busy working two jobs.

My broken foot doesn't seem so bad after reading some of your posts. I am so sorry for lost babies, health issues, emotional issues for some of you. I do lurk every few days, so I feel like I know what is going on.

Michele congrats. on those babies. I cried when I read your post...you so deserve this after trying for so long.

Snow in October doesn't sound very exciting to me, but you just enjoy it "Atomic Rose".

Cara and Rachel hope the remaining of your pregnancies go well and look forward to pictures of your baby soon Rachel.

Have fun building your new homes Michele (ecembem sp?) and BL. You are brave....not something I want to do.

Love the pictures of the Las Vegas Brawl. You all look like you had a great time and the food looked awesome!!!

My marriage is ending and there isn't much hope left. I don't plan to get into any details on the board. To top off my stress I can't believe I broke my foot yesterday. I was leaving my friend's house and I missed the step.

I manage to drive myself home because I didn't want to tell my friend how bad I was hurt. I called my husband and he wasn't home. I had to do the worst thing ever....call friends for help. It is very diffcult for me to ask for help.

One friend picked up my boys and another one took me to the ER, took me to Walgreens to fill my RX and bring me home. I had my boys all day and they are the greatest kids!!! They helped me all day. They get me water, help with the dishes, grab the phone and whatever else I needed they helped. I got hugs and my boys snuggled with me on the couch. They went right to bed without a battle. What else can a mom ask for.

I see the foot doctor on Monday and will know than how long I will off of work. This isn't good timing fincially for me, because I will have lost wages. The hospital will pay me short term disability, but my other job will be a total wage lost for me. I am praying and trusting God knows what He is doing.

Barb:)

Hi Barb,

Sorry about your foot. Do you believe in accidents? I just wonder if this is His way of making you slow down.....

I'm REEEEEELY sorry to hear about your marriage. If you want to talk about it, we're here to listen. But before you call it quits, why not both of you see a therapist? That really worked for my hubby and me thirty-one years ago.

Now, about those blessings. You have some super kids! Wow. How lucky you are, Barb! Truly, you have been blessed.

I am so sorry to hear about your fractured foot. It does seem like you've had your share of misfortune lately. I know this won't be easy for you financially or to physically get around. Thank goodness the boys are behaving and are helping you. Big hugs to you. I will keep you in my prayers!

I'm sorry about your foot. I know you will be worried about the finances now, but maybe it won't be for too long. Let us know what the doctor says.

I'm sorry about your marriage too. It sounds like both of you will still be there for each other, though, which is good.

I wish you quick healing, well behaved children, faith that financially you will be okay, and a continued amicable relationship with your husband as you go through the divorce.

We are all here to support you through it all, Barbara!

Love and prayers to you.

Hi Bev,
I wish counseling worked. We have gone through 3 counselors in the past 4 years and hubby hasn't like any of them.

After I filed for divorce he agreed to go to counseling, but I had to drop the divorce first. I don't care to go into more details on line.

I don't have your e-mail anymore - please e-mail at bandaanda@sbcglobal.net. I know it is a wierd e-mail, but it stands for Brandon and Alex and Aaron.

Thanks Shelby. I still pray it will work out, but my marriage can not continue with the way it has been going.

Thanks BL. Did your boys ever break any bones? My oldest fracture his first metatarsal when he was 3. He was casted up to his knee!! Thank goodness adults are not usually casted for a foot fracture.

Boy, things have been rough for you lately, I'm so sorry. I remember some of the issues you mentioned before about your marriage and as difficult as it is, it really does sound like you are better off without him. I hope for the boys sake that he will remain friendly and continue to be in there lives.

As for the foot, well, that just sucks! I've broken or sprained my ankles more times than I can count. I was on crutches for 3 months last year, right around this time. At least your arms will be nice and strong! LOL!! Hopefully, you'll heal up quickly and be running around again in no time!

Your boys sound wonderful!! They really were being good and taking care of there mom, how sweet! I can only hope my babies grow up to be so caring! Hugs!!

I've been away from my computer. I hope your foot will mend and that your life will eventually regain a sense of normalcy. Good to hear from you! Don't be a stranger!

So I lied about not having to wear a cast. My doctor gave me 3 choices, surgery (which he said I have to talk him into), removable cast or nonremovable cast.

I am wearing a removable cast that has to be worn 24/7 for a month. I can walk in, which is really cool; even though I look like a dork waddling down the street. In a month I get another x-ray and he will decide if I have to continue wearing the cast or just go to tennis shoes for another month.

Long story made short he said it will take a full two months to heal from my injury. The wild part of all of this is he didn't put me on any work restrictions. My manager laugh at me when I told her this. She can not understand what the doctor was thinking. My manager is contacting employee health and they will make a decision on what they are going to do with me.

Hey.......I'm more than happy to work, but I hope a patient doesn't wet his/her pants waiting for me to take them to the bathroom.

I messed up the tendons in my foot and had I needed it I would have had light duty for several weeks! It has been a couple of weeks and the pain comes and goes but there is no way that I could be on my feet all day even now!

Well, at least you can remove the cast to take a bath!! I wasn't given that option last year and was in a permanent cast for 3 weeks and just a sock for many weeks after that because of the RSD. Luckily, I spend a lot of my day on my butt so I could still come into the office. My desk chair has wheels on it and I just wheeled myself around most of the day! Is there some sort of desk duty they can put you on at the hospital?
