I have had abdominal pain for over 2 days. It hasn't gone away. It starts at the sternum and goes all the way down to the pubic bone. It's a dull ache and I can't locate a specific spot that hurts worse than another, although it sort of radiates around - sometimes it'll hurt worse at the top, mid or bottom. Anybody's IBS done this? I've had unpredictable BM's and D but I haven't been eating properly. It feels like gas pain except it doesn't go away. AF is late AGAIN - it doesn't feel like cramps. Advice???

Well I'd go and see your doc - remember you are supposed to get checked out if your symptoms change!
Hope it goes soon!

Alicia, I had a sudden change about a year ago or so, and I was experiencing pain in the upper quadrant and I was extremely tender to the touch all over my abdomen. I was scared because it was so different than anything I'd had before, but it turned out to be an intestinal infection and was treated with Flagyl. Have you been running a temperature? I agree with Linz, that you need to see your doctor. Good luck to you, Terri

The only time my IBS hurts up that high is when I'm having a REALLY BAD pain attack, which, luckily, I haven't had one in about a year. Have you tried some gas-x to see if that helps any? Maybe you have some trapped gas thats being really stubborn? Why is AF late again? Are you having some hormonal issues?
