Do you ever have a symptom-free day with IBS? I have such terrible bloating and gas especially in the evenings after I've eaten dinner. I'm trying to do my best to stay away from triggers and I've just started taking the acacia. I've been thinking of ordering the fennel which I've read helps...testamonials?? Thanks!

I personally haven't had a "symptom" free day in over 2 years. There is always a reminder symptom hanging around. Some days are worse than others obviously. I too try to stay away from triggers but it doesn't seem tp make a difference for me. Sorry I wasn't much help.

Yup...I have more IBS free days than not now and have done for quite a time thanks to Heather's diet and Acacia.
Fennel tea is amazing and Heather's is so much fresher (and therefore stronger) than any others I tried.

Yes, I have had symptom-free days, but very few. My problem seems to be in my head. I can get myself into a frenzy over something very minor, such as some kind of social commitment that I don't want to do, and it'll drain down into my gut, cramping me up, until I finally explode on the pot.
Equalactin is my "fix." It calms down my tummy almost instantly. Hubby and I are kayakers who go out practically every morning, and I have a big fear of getting an attack out on the water, far from shore. I keep a small supply of Equalactin in the front zipper pocker of my PFD ("life preserver"). Twice since we've been kayaking I've had to pop one in my mouth, and twice they've calmed my gut down long before we've had to return. Not once have I had to zoom back to the outhouse on shore, knock on wood....
Gas? Girl, I just BLOW. It's a relief! "Wherever ye be, let yer wind blow free!"

...i don't fart! Honestly...trapped gas is the absolute worst. If I don't do a little farting, I really worry.
Now that I eat meat, fish, fowl, etc... my poos really smell different. So do my farts. Tuna dumps, I confess, are the worst...it smells like a fish tank or an aquarium in the watercloset somedays.

Yeah, I have a few symptom free days, not too many. As for your gas, check out Heathers list of foods not to eat. Sometimes we can over do it on the veggies! Make sure your eating slowly, not in a rush. I have a bad time w/ gas, & I find that excersize helps, walking for sure. I also take gas-x & it helps relieve it too. Hope this helps Kiwi

you are so gross...so gross, but so very funny. low tide. honestly though...there's a huge difference between fowl farts and fish farts...now shrimp gas/farts--those smell rather like egg salad. i wish i had a window in my throne room.
i'm not used to a carno-layer to my gassssssssssssssssssss...
it's not bad, though.
honestly, if i don't pass a little air i worry.
