Well....yesterday was the surgery and it couldn't have gone any better!! I was extremely nervous going into it but when I woke up I felt FINE!! I was actually hungry!! I didn't feel sick to my stomach at all!!

So I got home around 5pm last night and my friend came to stay with me (she's staying until Sunday). My boobs look really boxy and square right now. I have tubes in each side of me draining out blood and fluid but I can't feel them at all. There's a home nurse coming in 20 minutes to remove them and change my bandages.

The pain is not bad....I woke up this morning though and had to take a pain pill right away because I hadn't had one in 7 hours. I have to sleep on my back because of the tubes and dressings but hopefully when the tubes come out today I'll be more comfortable to sleep.

I go back to the surgeon on Monday to get my bandages removed completely and then I can start showering.

Anyway....I have to get ready for the nurse so I'm out of here for now. I'll be sure to come back and update again.

Good! Glad to hear you didn't get nauseous, and it sounds like the pain isn't bad either. I'm happy for you!

Hey, Cutie!

EXCELLENT news. Boxy and Square Boobs, eh? Okay, THAT's different. I'm glad you aren't sick and that everything went well. Good news indeed.

We're all anxious to see the "before" and "after" pix! Don't disappoint us....

Well the nurse came and removed my tubes. The right one got stuck and it KILLED when she took it out. The left one came out no problem.

I'm now pretty sore on the right side but feel much better now that the tubes are out.

I also got to take a look at them when she was changing the bandages and they look great!!

I also noticed I have a little feeling in my nipples which is a really good sign!!!

Anyway....gonna watch a movie and rest....I'll be sure to add more later.

Kimm,
That is such, such wonderful news!! I am so glad to hear you didn't get sick, I will have to make note of the things you had them give you to ensure that you didn't so I can do the same! I am not quite as scared of throwing up, but if I can avoid it I definitely will!
I am so glad that your pain isn't too bad, although sorry that the drain removal was so ouchy! That sucks. How ar you able to function? Can you actually do stuff?

As for the boxy boobs, every single thing I have read said that is totally normal. The pictures I saw at my surgeon's office were like that too, but they all said within 6 months your boobs will fall into their natural shape or something like that.
How do you feel overall? Do your shoulders/back feel any different?
Am I asking too many questions?

Anyway, I am just really glad that you are happy with the results so far and you made it through without throwing up and you are feeling good - at least good enough to be online and chatting to us, so that's something! And how awesome that you have feeling in your nipples, that is really great! That is one thing I'm nervous about too.

I think I will go put my forms in an envelope to send them off tonight..

**hugs**

Kimm,

Thank goodness the surgery was smooth sailing and recovery is looking speedy.

Welcome to the boobless club! Okay, I'm naturally rather bust-challenged. I can't recall the last time I wore a bra!

Sorry, I'm just being a dufus. Honestly, I hope recovery continues to be comfortable.

Kate.
