Hiya!
Good idea!

Here is an 'action pose' of our dog Ranger,

And here is a super adorable pic of Ranger and my other pet Adrian cuddled on the couch,

And just one more cute pup pic:

I just love him so much, he is totally our baby right now. He is curled right up beside me right now, soooo cute!

What cute beasties you ladies have!
The only pet I have at the moment, is the one in my picture. But he doesn't shed and he's housebroken.
No four-legged critters now, but one of these days, I want a cat or a scottie.

Here's my lovable, loud, fat calico, Gracie! I've had her since January:

Action shot (as she claims the bag from my fibro supplements)

And her a little more quiet, when she decided to claim the laundry basket

Here's mine! I think I've posted these pictures before but I haven't downloaded any new ones yet!
This one is of Mingus, AKA Big Boy!! He is a big doofus and a big lover! He looks mean with that tooth sticking out but his looks are decieving!! He LOVES to be IN things, especially boxes, the smaller the better! He will spring out like a jack in the box and frollic away, he LOVES to be chased and to play.

And here is Chloe, AKA Sissy

I don't have any pictures of our 80 pound stray....who is now the adored pet of the household. We live on a dirt road in AL that seems to call folks to drop off their unwanted animals at our door. (thus far, in 7 years we've had 12 dogs come through) Our current pet is one of those strays, a big hound mix that has been with us 2 years. He loves to play tackle football and chases everything on 4 wheels that drives by! He's a NUT, but lots of fun and the boys love him!

Since you all had some funny pics I forgot to post my funny one! This is Chevy(the one I had in the pic before) and Winston(the really big one!). Arent they cute!? By the way Chevy got his name because we found him as a stray about 5 weeks old in a fan belt of a Chevy car and he was all beat up. Thanks for all the pics guys! I love seeing people's pets or any animals for that matter!

This is Toby, my 2nd baby, aka, toby-lee, lee lee boy, little man, fuzzy boy, fuzzy man etc etc (yes, my animals have complexes )

This is Tommy Turtle (aka Tom Tom or tommy boy)

This is Abel and Caine (Caine is the red one) who sadly passed away a month ago

I also have 10 cichlids however they're not that easy to photograph (and are just silver and black stripey fish). I love these threads, I'm an animal addict

Don't feel stupid it took me the longest time to figure it out too!! What I did was go to www.photobucket.com and download your pictures there. Once you've done that, you'll get a photo album kinda thing from them and under your photos there will be a thing to click on the says image and you copy and paste that in your post here. Ok, so I'm probably not explaining that very well but I'm not a good computer person either!! LOL!!

Ok, finally figured it out(how to post pics in the post). here's a pic of my 200 year old(JK, he is 12 though) Jessie. Sweetest dog I have ever met...:)

And here is one of Jessie's playmate, Ryleigh. She is about a year old and definitely is in charge of the two of them. Poor Jessie, He's so afraid of cats. Imagine an 85 pound dog being afraid of a 6 pound cat!

Here is Lefty. He was the neighborhood cat near the little mall that my store was in. He liked coming in in the fall when it was cool and warming up under the high intensity jewelry lights. He brought in a lot of people, but they were only interested in him, not buying anything.
He would make the rounds of all the stores. He'd get a buzz on catnip at the pet store, get food from the restaurants and snooze in my shop.

Ok, I'm going to try this but I'm so bad at figuring out how to post pictures...so fingers crossed this works.

This is my cat Mr. Bojangles:
You can kinda see his paws in the picture...he's a polydactyl so he has two extra toes on his front paws that he can use as opposable thumbs (not always a good thing!).

Here's one more:

Also, I don't have any pictures of my family dog loaded into my computer, but he was such a sweetie and I found one that looks like him, so I'll post that too. He passed away a few years ago but was just the biggest sweetheart ever (and I do mean big, all 150lbs of him!):

Gracie (my calico, see her pic somewhere in this thread) loves to yell at Mac and I, especially if she's been alone in the apartment all day since my roommate who used to be home a lot got a job.

She also purrs so loud you can hear her in the next room!

So I'm not the only person that cats hate! Ha! I feel very uncomfortable around cats, so I always avoid them and I never look at them, hoping they'll leave me alone.

Whenever I go to someone's house who has a cat, the cat will pick me out of the group---and come jump on me! Why me? I hate cats---and I'm highly allergic to them.

Finally, I read somewhere that cats don't like people who don't make eye contact with them. So do you know what I do now? I STARE THEM DOWN!!! And now they leave me alone!

Try it. I'm curious to see if it will work for you.

Rusty is so beautiful! How in the heck did you get him to balance a toy on his head?

How has he been doing lately? I know that is hard for you. I went through the same thing with the first beagle we had. It broke my heart! Just enjoy him while you can. Spoil him rotten and give him lots of hugs!

Thats funny about the cats selecting you when you don't like them! I have one girlfriend who hates cats also and whenever we have people over, my cats always gravitate to her! I think the cats can sense you don't like them and they want to either piss you off or make friends with you, not sure which!! HEHE

Interesting! I'm definately not a cat person either...we'll never have one...I'm just much more a dog lover.

I think it all goes back to this one black cat that I had to babysit when I was 7...I went over to feed him one time and he HATED me...he tried to bite my foot and clung onto my sock - I was kicking him around and he wouldn't let go!! I ran into a bedroom and shut my sock in the door, and called my mom to come take care of it. Cats just freak me out since then.

Also - I hate people that get cats and let them just roam the freaking neighborhood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY HAVE A CAT??!?!?!?! Sorry - sensitive subject because we have one of those cats in the neighborhood, and everyone knows who it belongs to...they just don't let it inside. It craps in our yard, bugs the crap our of our dogs, and won't leave you alone if you try to take a walk. ANNOYING.

Next time I'll stare it down, and see if works...:)

I am a reformed cat-hater. I used to just think they were the most arrogant little creatures.

Anyway, my friend's theory is that when people are angry or have a negative expression on their faces (like, from a dislike of cats), it causes their faces to sort of resemble a cat's: narrowed eyes, tight lips, etc. She says that's why cats gravitate toward the people least comfortable with them: because they look like them!

Ok....that's too funny! But, hey, I don't think I look like a cat. At least I hope not!

I swear I read somewhere that cats don't like it when you make direct eye contact with them. They see that as a threat and will leave you alone. It works for me!

I gotta find that info online.

He is about the same. When he breathes it sounds like he has a really bad cold. He's on Prednisone & Benadryl. He sleeps pretty well, though, snoring very loudly. I think he still has a pretty good quality of life because he still plays with his toys and wants to go for a short walk. I am giving him sooooo much love and attention and new toys because I don't know how much longer we will have him with us. It is very sad, indeed!

I had a similar experience. I was about 12 years old and was babysitting these 2 little kids. They were asleep and it was about 11 p.m. I was in the kitchen talking on the phone, and these people's cat jumped out at me from behind the kitchen window curtain! I almost had a heart attack because I did not know these people even had a cat!!! Sneaky little thing!

My sister had a cat for years---and one day she got out of the shower, and it attacked her! It bit her so hard that she had to have stitches and an antibiotic. She had to call animal control to get the cat out from under her bed. They put it to sleep because it was wild! This was her pet that had slept in her bed for years!

We had a cat once when I was little, but it ran away. I haven't had good experiences with cats, have I?

Oh well, they make me wheeze and sneeze! And my eyes swell shut when I'm around them, so I just avoid them like the plague.

I agree with you about them roaming the neighborhood. That drives me nuts! My biggest fear of moving into a townhouse is that my neighbors will have roaming cats that end up in my tiny little courtyard space! I don't want cats in my yard!

And my sister's cat used to walk all over her kitchen countertops. Do all cats do that? That seems very unsanitary to me.

Only if there were plenty of bathrooms. LOL

Really, being mostly C has it's problems, too. I was in the grocery store for 5 mins. today and felt I had to go. I was so afraid of the pain, but luckily it wore off before it got too bad. This IBS sucks.

This is my soon to be 6 year old little sweetie. Below is what she looks like come winter when I let her coat get a bit longer.

Below is after a trip to the groomer to get a summer hair cut.

Typically when Chloe isn't taking care of me on the bad days, you can find her lounging around the house.

Chloe is a Bichon and Yorkie mix. We refer to her as our diva with an attitude. She's only 11 pounds but can jump straight up 2 1/2 feet. Bouncing around in the morning she has way too much energy...guess that is why I rely on her to get me going. She has this silky soft fur that is almost pure white on the belly, wish my hair was that great. Glad you like her too.

Rusty is adorable. I am jealous that he can behave well enough for you to get photos like that. Is he a golden retriever?

I love sharpeis! Was yours a snuggler? A college girlfriend had one who we would sneak into the dorm and would "share" during the day to make sure the RA didn't hear him. Ringo would just snuggle up with you while you studied. We were always sneaking food out of the dining hall to feed him.

What an adorable photo! I had a shar-pei too growing up, he only lived to be 5...died suddenly while at the vet's being examined. We were actually told that shar-peis rarely live past 7 or so...I don't know why but I guess 15 is really good! I'm so sorry that you had to put your girl down, just wanted to share some shar-pei love

Let's see .... we could serve Pu Pu Platter appetizer, pork BUTT, ASSpic, and for dessert, Flambe' ala Heather. Of course there'd be fennel tea to drink and instead of a mint on the way out we'd have individual Prep H wipes.

Okay ... I'd better finish my coffee before I drift too far from reality.

Hi Michelle,

Yes, he's a Golden Retriever. We've had him since he was a puppy and he's 13 now. He has been a very good dog....easy to potty train and doesn't tear anything up. He loves having his picture taken.

BTW, your little Chloe is precious.

I've just bought Lucy that squeaky hot dog toy. She loves it but it's driving me nuts!

Anyway, here they are. These are very outdated but i don't have a scanner.
