My name is Jenn, I am 22 years old, and I was diagnosed with IBS about year and a half ago. It's been rough, because I really don't go out anymore, and I have lost some friends due to IBS.

Welcome to the boards! Come on in and make yourself at home! Be sure to read the information on the rest of the site, too... the diet and supplement advice has really helped our symptoms, and it can help yours too. I've been right where you are now - getting your life back is a wonderful feeling.

Looking forward to getting to know ya!

Hi Jenn,

You have found a wonderful site to help you.It has helped me tremendously.

Just browse around at some of the things on the boards and I'm sure you will find some help. Ask questions on the IBS Diet Board too, and you will always get some great answers. Even join in the Living Room chat.....it can be lots of fun and help get your mind off of your tummy.

I'm sure you will get some help soon and be able to get out again and have a great time.

Hello and Welcome! IBS isn't any fun but you can get control of it with time and proper diet and sometimes certain medications will also help. Read through all the info here, post specific IBS questions on the diet board and come chat with us in the Living Room!

I think most of us have lost friends over IBS and its a shame. Once you get feeling better, than you can make new friends who won't leave you when the going gets tough! Hang in there! Hugs!

I'm 22 as well, and have had IBS for 5 years. This site and the people here are awesome, so make yourself at home!

Hi Jenn!

I was diagnosed with OBS when I was 21ish, and I did go through a really rough patch where I lost a few friends cause I always felt sick and never wanted to go out.
The good news is, when you start to become stable, you'll be able to get back out there and socialise, and hopefully rebuild your friendships. That isolation is definitely not permanent!

And in the meantime, there's all of us!
