I am thankful for my lot in life that G-d has entrusted to me
For my husband (not enough words here)
For my IBS family
My dog Shana
My non-biological sisters on the boards
Candles
Blankets
Tea
Photographs
Food
The bad things in life that aren't really bad at all because there is always a rainbow at the other end
Soft tissues
Crying, laughing, smiling, emotions
The newspaper we get every week
Music
Books
The Velveteen rabbit, white peaches, and purees
Salt!
Water
The fact that I have said no (no evil eyes, no jinxes!) to bad-for-me-foods for a couple of weeks and I've lost 20 lbs.
Dolls
Therapy!
Meds
Natural remedies
The color yellow/gold
Shelter from the bitter HEAT
Fruits and veggies

* Adam... we just celebrated our two-year finding-each-other-again anniversary, and I seriously just keep finding new reasons to fall in love with him every day.

Ok... I promise I won't make y'all gag any more than that.

* Two doctor's visits in as many weeks, and I have a clean bill of health - other than IBS, of course, but THINGS COULD BE SO MUCH WORSE!

* Summer! Heat! Sunshine! My herbs are growing! My skin is tan! I can even put up with the blackflies for this!

* All my friends, near and far, and that includes you guys!
* Fresh strawberries, sweet corn on the cob, and the ability to eat them!
* My cats, my rats, and my new fish, Sushi
* I FINALLY sewed a wearable skirt!
* Family... Adam's and mine

...and lots more, of course.

Ooh this sounds fun...

* Andrew - it's been me and him against the world for over 2 years now, never been happier

* my cat Sebastian, who even though he is needy and cranky a lot, will always make me feel better when I'm upset

* warm sunshine, spring and fall weather, and warm blankets in the winter

* books, books, books and about a million authors I couldn't even begin to name here... I have a second life in books

* my smallish family of plants, which are actually growing and blossoming very sucessfully despite the fact that I have never, ever been able to make anything grow (a cactus died after 2 weeks in my care people - a cactus! lol) Who knew I had a green thumb burried deep inside me? (ew that actually sounds kind of gross, heh)

* music, and getting it free on the internet

* my family, and the fact that despite small disputes now and then we've ALWAYS got along

* my health, which isn't always the best and which is often annoying, but I don't have any life threatening diseases or anything and I'm grateful for that, and for the health of the ones I love

* mashed potatoes and applesauce, not together (well, sometimes together...), but I could live on those comfort foods of the rest of my life (probably not very successfully but there you go )

* Canada

* sex ('nuff said)

* value village

* the fact that I was lucky enough to find a very well paying job in high school and, with just a little bit of help from my parents, completely avoid taking out student loans to pay for my education, and the fact that even though money is tight for me, I'm pretty well off considering

* all the glorious people on this site - who knew so many incredible and amazing people had IBS? (and I'd have to say especially you Ruchie, you who amaze me anew time I talk to you )

My new flat..... no flatmates, my own kitchen and bathroom (small, but I don't take up much space!), lovely new cream curtains and beautiful polished wood floor
Hamish, my boyfriend who puts up with me through everything... even moving out on him!
Having a job that I like, with amazing workmates and decent pay
IBS being relatively stable with this whole moving business
My parents, who I get to spend a week with from Aug 8th
Estee Lauder eyeshadow and Maybelline lip gloss (it was freebie week at the Estee Lauder counter at my chemist this week, I was bad and they rewarded me with free stuff ... and the Maybelline lip gloss is both cheap and really nice)
The colours, cream/gold, burgundy and black (guess what my colour scheme is in the new place!)
This place and all the fantastic gals and guys who cheer me up no end, even when I'm just lurking
Cottonelle toilet paper
Clinique Happy Heart (fragrance - I bought it because of the name, and it's just lovely, and so me)
Wellington's temperate climate (although it's COLD today!)
Books! All of them!
