Just an update. They are quite sure of the bipolar diagnosis. Apparently, it goes hand in hand with postpartum depression and OCD. I'm on new meds, and it looks like I'm going to be on meds for life for this.
I feel very drained. It has been a very emotional time. DH has been so supportive - took the day off to come and get me, and is taking tomorrow off, too, so I can ease back into things. Wonderful seeing the kids again - I missed them SO much!
All I can say is this - if you're really depressed, MAKE THE CALL. Get the help you need. It was the hardest call I've ever made, but my family is very proud of me for having the guts to call.
Thank you to all for your love and support. I don't know what I'd do without my IBS family.

I bet your kids are so happy to have mommy back! Take the love and hugs they give you and eat them up!
It was such a brave thing for you to do, Alicia...making that call for help. You took care of yourself when you decided that things were too much. I am so proud of you...you have been a role model to us all!

I'm so impressed that you asked for help when you needed it. SO many people haven't learned how to do that yet. It's hard, and you did it!! You should be proud of yourself. That you are making efforts to be healthy and in control is such a wonderful thing for your family. I'm glad you're getting the support you need, and I hope it gets easier from here.
