I got the job!

Well, I was just offered the job at CargoKids. I start Monday. Now that I've been offered the job, I'm terrified. Don't know why. I always do this to myself---I get excited about something and then talk myself out of it. It drives my husband crazy.
At least I will be busy this weekend so I won't be worrying about it so much. I am going to a big black-tie event at the new Westin Hotel Saturday night, and then we have tickets in a suite at the Carolina Panthers game Sunday afternoon. Hey, I'm too busy to work. Ha!
I bought one of those tummy shaper things to wear Saturday night under my slinky black dress. I've decided that I will wear my regular undies, pantyhose, and then put it on top of that----just in case, it kills my tummy. Then I will go to the ladies room, remove it, and discreetly put it in my purse! Then I will just have to suck my tummy in the rest of the night. Maybe it will be really dark in there and no one will notice how huge my stomach is.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! YAY FOR YOU!!

Don't talk yourself out of it. Yes - it's a huge change and that's probably your worry, but don't worry you will be fine. I get nervous when I start a new job, but I just tell myself...."Don't worry, the boss likes you or else you wouldn't have made it this far"

Re: Black tie dinner - You can wear your dress but instead of jamming yourself into that trimmer thingy because I know how bloated we get - just take a blazer jacket with you. If your tummy gets too swollen you can put your jacket on and hide it that way. Either that or a looser dressy sweater. I do that all the time. No one even notices. And believe my tummy is swollen all the time.

I am sure you will look lovely!

Enjoy and I wish you the best of luck on Monday! It will go excellent I am sure!

.. I'm sure you'll do a great job! Can't wait to hear about your first day, I'll be thinking of you.

My stomach is nearly always hugely bloated and I feel so self conscious and uncomfortable about it. Funny thing is, it seems so terrible to me but I don't think anyone else notices - I think it's worse from an upwards perspective!

Enjoy your weekend and good luck Monday,
Kerrie

WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's WONDERFUL! I'm SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! You deserve it!

You got the job because you're fit for it...otherwise they wouldn't have hired you! You're too much....(ok, so I'd be nervous too!) This is SO GREAT--you got the job you wanted. ENJOY! Let us know how your first day goes! Too bad we can't all get together and throw you an IBS-safe party

*big hugs*
