I was online earlier but have been on the phone with my former next door neighbor in Louisiana who's pregnant. She had an ultrasound done and the technician told her he thought the baby MAY have Down's Syndrome. Bless her heart! She and her husband spent the weekend worrying about this, but thankfully, found out the next week that everything looks fine with the baby. Praise God for that! I'm still waiting to hear about the job. I had a sweet message on my answering machine yesterday from a former employer who said she had been called about a reference so I guess the manager is "checking me out." Hope to hear something concrete soon! Thanks for asking. I'm leaving in a few minutes to see the gynecologist about the fibroid tumor they found when I had the ultrasound done. I'm anxious to know if she thinks that may have something to do with my IBS problems! And of course, I started my period this morning!!!

I am anxious to hear about your appt. with the gyn. I also have a fibroid tumor. Does yours cause heavy bleeding? Mine does not, which is weird. I think it has to do with the location of the fibroid. I plan to ask my gyn next time I see him. I hope everything goes well and you get some answers. I will be away for the weekend, but I will check back in Sunday night. artist

My gynecologist said the fibroid tumor was not anything to worry about. She also said she didn't think it had anything to do with my recent GI symptoms (constipation, abdominal bloating, etc.) It's only about 1 1/2 inches and is at the top of my uterus which she said is the best place for one to be. As I get older and closer to menopause (yikes!), it should decrease in size, according to her. She said we would just watch it and hopefully it won't cause a problem. I never knew it was there!

I'm glad your appt. when well. My gyn said the same thing about my fibroid, that it could not be resposible for my IBS symptoms. The funny thing is, fibroids are one of the few things that actually IMPROVE as you age! I hope your first day at your new job is fabulous. Once you get there you will be fine. I think you will really enjoy it. I will be sending good thoughts your way. artist
