I'm seeing on the news there's all kinds of buses and trains exploding in London. Noone seems to know what's going on, but I hope our British lot are all okay.

I havent even seen the news this morning....Im up north so things are fine here but I dont know whats going on in London...all i know is we won our bid to host the olympics iun 2012.....thanks for letting me know on that on will put bbc on now!

Apparently there's been two explosions on the tube, and now the tune is closed, and there was an explosion on the bus. The news said the bus people were all okay, injuries and stuff but no-one dead.

hi I am in London at the moment and was meant to be taking the tube and buses this morning...I decided to leave later...there are terrorist explosions attacking the tube and buses in central london. don't you just love these disgusting terrorists? So sad today :-(

We live near london, OH is in london but has rung me to say he is ok but I'm feeling really sick now just thinking about it can't stop shaking , deaths are now being reported

reuters is reporting many fatalities but the news here won't tell us because they don't want to incite panic :-(

Latest reports here at 12noon GMT is 5/6 explosions on the tubes, 1 explosion on a bus (top blown off) and just as I am typing this they have reported another explosion on a bus.(suppose it could be a repeat announcement of the first bus?!)
I guess most of us were highly delighted at yesterdays news of London holding the 2012 olympics and then this. Probaby do to with the G8 summit though.
So so sad, I do not believe that God put us here to blow each other up.

BBC World has two confirmed deaths and about 100 injuries, with 10 serious.
From the news over here it seems that the bombs were meant to disable the transport system rather than kill lots of people. Which is still terrible, but hopefully not as bad as Madrid or Bali.
I'm so glad you're OK, Dalia. I've heard from almost all of my friends over there (bless the interweb!) and everyone seems to be alright.

My prayers are with everyone in the U.K. This brings back horrible memories of 9/11. I know you Brits are strong and will be ok. Us Americans are with you.
The people who did this are NOT human. They are animals and I hope they are hunted down like the animals they are.

I was just going to post something too so I'm glad you all were ahead of me! That is definitely some crazy stuff and does bring back memories of Sept. 11. I hope everyone is okay.

Doesn't AmandaPanda's boyfriend live in London too? Though I think this was the weekend they were in Canada. Hopefully that's the case.

We're okay....but we can't get hold of Simon's brother who works just round the corner from where one of them went off. They've prioritised mobile phone traffic for the emergency services so it's probably just that, but it is not nice.

I really sorry for you who live in London. Even with your loved ones ok, it is a terrible and scary thing to have happen. I used to live in New York and watching things from 9/11 still make me sick to my stomach. Why are people so terrible?! My prayers and thoughts are with you all.

My husbands cousin, who is also a close friend of mine, moved to London this spring with her fiance.....I just called her mom and thank god, she had emailed her this morning to tell her they were both ok. I can't even imagine....I'm so sorry for everyone there, I don't understand how terrorists think that killing innocent people is a way to further their cause. It's awful.

During 9/11 here in the states after the pentagon was hit I tried calling my mum in DC who works near there and I couldnt get in touch with her for 2 days!! I understand what you are going through, but im also sure its just the phones. Hang in there!

I'm so sorry the people in England have to experience this- after 9-11 and Madrid. It seems like this reminds us how small the world is, we always seem to know someone at risk. The British authorities are doing a really great job with the rescue endeavor though. What a terrible thing to do.

Last summer I lived in Tavistock Square for two months, took the bus on Tavistock Place (one incident there) and took the tube from Russell Square (explosion there). Feeling kinda lucky to be alive right now.

I got up this morning and heard the terrible news. I'm so sorry! But I'm glad to hear you, Si, and BIL are fine. My sister had been living just outside of London this past year with her fiance and his family, she returned to the US in June. I called her and my future BIL is okay, but I haven't heard about the rest of his family. This is so terrible! New York, Madrid, now London. I just feel so sad and angry. I'm praying for you all. How are you managing?

What are these people thinking?? Blowing up sub-ways and buses Just awful!
One of my good girlfriends had been working in London since May. Luckily, she came home for the 4th of July and isn't scheduled to return until next week. One of the explosions was within walking distance of her office building!

Where have you been lately? How are you doing? Is it this weekend you're going to the B& B?
I thought about you last night while reading Brooke Shield's book "Down Came the Rain." You would really enjoy this. She went through years of fertility work, then had a miscarriage, had a difficult delivery with her baby girl, and then suffered with postpartum depression.
She talks about how she desperately wanted a baby, but never thought what it would mean to be a mother!

VERY scary! I can't even listen to the news anymore...just pray a LOT for everyone!

...I picked Archie up from the vet's this afternoon and found out our vet's wife (who's REALLY nice) was on a tube when it happened and had to walk through the underground tunnels for an HOUR. Not surprisingly, our vet was going a bit nuts trying to get away from work.

I just talked to my friend in London whose stop is the Liverpool St Station. She missed it by 10 minutes!!
It took me 20 minutes to get a line to her mobile. Wow, major 9/11 flashback going on in my head. I remember what it was like in DC that day. The phones in my office didn't ring all day because the lines were all busy. When the phone did finally ring, everyone clamored around it trying to let the person on the other end know we all were ok!

I can't get in touch with them, and Adrian is at work so I don't even know if he is aware of what's happened..
