Is it common for people with IBS to have sleeping problems (or to cause sleeping problems for others)? I make loud noises in my sleep, much to the dismay of my boyfriend. I have no idea why I do this

I don't make noises (at least I don't think I do!), but I do toss and turn like a crazy woman at times. Just can't get comfy.

On my back for a while, then my tummy feels like it's gonna pop, so I roll over onto my tummy to try and disperse some of the gas, that ends up hurting. Then to the side, with legs in pike position. Then, finally, gloriously, I fall asleep...until about 2:30 when the "dog" next door (I swear it's a mutant rat that some couple put hair weaves and a dog collar on) starts yipping it's little head off. Sigh..... up and outta bed for some more tea, a couple of shouts out the window (I do these in my head, my bf yells them out the window) and it's back to bed.

Do you snore? Whenever bf snores it's because he's on his back. I roll him over to his side when he starts going at it in my ear. Is your tummy the culprit? If it's that, then I suggest buying bf a pretty set of ear plugs for the next anniversery.

I don't think I snore. It's more about making loud noises (grunt, groan etc) that prevents him from sleeping. I'm unaware I"m doing it. I can't find out much about it on the net unfortunately
