I just lost one of my closest friends to cancer

I'm beside myself in shock. The last I heard she was going through another round of kemo. Apparently she went really quick - just in the last week. I worked side by side with her for three years as music teachers. She was so wonderful with me - she made me into the teacher that I became - she was so supportive and helpful. She always had suggestions, praise, encouragement, and always friendship. I feel so lost without her. She left behind 2 kids, 8 and 10 years old. She loved them so much. I can't stop crying. Any hugs would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sending tons of hugs your way Alisha. SOrry to hear about your friend, I lost my mom to cancer a few years ago and it was really sudden as well, and it can be really hard. If it helps at all, my sister was younger when my mom died (she had just started high school) and she's doing ok, it was tough on her, but she adjusted and she's doing fine. I'm sure your friends kids will be fine as well  Hang in there, we're all here for you.

I know this came as a shock to you. She sounds like she was a beautiful person! I know you will miss her tremendously. And her children are so young. I will keep you--- and her family in my prayers.

I lost a friend 4 years ago. She was strangled and sexually abused by a serial killer. It was an absolutely awful way to go (for anybody) but for someone as sweet and beautiful as she was, it was devastating. And her son was young too.
My heart goes out to you!
