...conservative v. libs tho - labour has no chance here. I voted Liberal and the Tory got in. Bleh. I think quite alot of people were going to vote tory here b/c they dislike a labour goverment more than they wanted to vote liberal.

Linz-
Did you see the Paxman interview with Galloway (it was repeated on Have I Got News for You)- hilarious! Paxman asked him how it felt to have stolen a seat from one of the few black female MPS. Much defensiveness followed. And a week later Galloway accused of being an oil dealer. Priceless.

I saw that interview when it was going on -- I don't know the guy, but he came off as a complete blowhard. I was just blown away by how fast the interview went downhill, with both him and the interviewer just getting pissed off at each other.

George Galloway has been a target for the right-wing media for many years. There have been a number of lawsuits about the oil allegations and, so far, Galloway has been totally exonerated in every case ... He is a pretty abrasive character, but that's not unusual in politics. He would certainly expect to get a hard time from Jeremy Paxman, who is renowned for being a specialist in 'tough' interviews.
