...watch "Warm Springs" on HBO this evening? Boy, was it ever good, and inspirational too. HBO is getting to be a source for movies that are better than 75% of what Hollywood cranks out.

What was it about? I love "finding" fantastic things on tv. I'm watching Reservoir Dogs which I taped from last night on AMC. But it's all edited for language, so you can imagine how hard it is to follow(!!!).

It's about FDR's recovery from polio- his use and subsequent establishment of Warm Springs, GA as a polio rehabilitation center- and how his illness was the formative event that made FDR and Eleanor into the great historical figures we admire. Wonderful acting! Great, inspirational story!

Alas, we don't have HBO, but I would like to see Warm Springs. Hopefully it will come out on DVD like Iron Jaw Angels...another incredible HBO film.

I'm sure it will. HBO's got a heckuvva movie factory going on... and their series-es are pretty righteous too. Me, I think "Deadwood"'s the best thing on TV right now.

It sounded so good when I watched the preview! But alas I don't have HBO anymore. There was a cliff hanger in the preview, went something like "...until he met other polio sufferers...!" I love that kind of stuff.
