This has probably been posted here before, but I'm going to share it anyway. The writer of the article has Lupus, but the things she says could really apply to the way we live with any chronic illness or disability. Just wanted to share.

That's so great - I wish I had read that before my friend and I had our big falling out and maybe she would have been able to understand, instead of calling me self-absorbed and crazy... Or maybe it's better off this way, actually.

Either way, what a great story.

Thats an incredable way to explain a chronic illness! My mom is very ill and I'm going to print it out and send it to her! Thanks for sharing!

It's good to see you again! I know how it goes... I stay away for a day or two and I feel totally out of the loop, so I can just imagine how you feel!

I'm doing pretty good, except for being exhausted all the time - some days, like today, I have to fight to NOT sleep all day! I don't know if it's just stress or what. Other than that, things are good... now I have to go read your "I'm back" post to see what's been going on with you! Thanks for asking!

I did cry the first time I read it - back then, I was REALLY sick with IBS, and a friend who has CFS sent it to me. That was me every day, then. It's STILL me on a lot of days, but it doesn't crush me like it used to.

I think I started today with only half my spoons. I walked to the post office and back, and then slept for 2 1/2 hours!
