Anyone have any info on this. I just went to the doctors. It turns out this use to be for people with C only. I have D. My doc says they altered the dosage and I may be able to take it. I'm of course afraid of the side affects?

i take zelnorm and my doctors are still not really sure if i have Ibs or not. It helped emensely. The only side effects I know of is increased D for the first couple days, dizziness and headaches (which were only in about 5% of study). D is the most common side effect.

I would really ask as to why they are giving this to you when you are D. Because all I have heard from doctors is that you should Not take it if you are D. I was on it for about 3 weeks and I am C. I had D from it for about 3 days and then it made my colon spasm funny throughout the day. I did not like it at all and stopped it completely. I have managed my symptoms with Heather's diet and Acacia. Everyone is different and some have good luck with Zelnorm but I would find out why they are giving it to you if you are D. Good Luck!
