Where do YOU want to visit?

It's 4:24 am here...so I'm spending it in pain with a UTI....

But I decided it's sooo not worth wasting time over. I'm dreaming while I'm awake!

What's your dream vaca?

Scotland is tops on my list. I'd also like to visit India, England, Ireland, Italy, and Australia.

Everyone who hears this thinks I've lost my mind, but I really want to visit Lebanon... someday. That's where my family is from, and I'm sure that's some of it, but... I don't know, maybe I'm attracted to dangerous places, heh. I've wanted to visit there since I was a kid.

Within the states, btw, I REALLY have an itch to see Alaska. And another lifelong (so far!) dream is to camp my way across the U.S. And I'd really like to travel somewhere far by train.

Yep, always wanted to visit New York - which hopefully if I can gather some money together will get a flight quite cheap fairly soon! Australia and Canada as well, plus believe it or not, Scotland even thought I'm a UK'er I've never been and would really like to. I have been to Northern Ireland, which is nice, but not as pretty as Southern, never been there though...but soon!! Dreams dreams!

...New Zealand, the Serengeti, Ireland (already been but love it), Scotland (ditto - but not since I was little), the US (New England, Washington State and San Francisco in particular - I spent a day in SF once and loved it), Antartica (I know, I'm nuts), somewhere I can see the Northern Lights (before they disappear ) and the Caribbean. Oh and Italy! And Egypt (I'd put up with the bugs for the culture). Oh, and the southern bit of Chile (I'm frogged and can't remember the name ).

I've been to Oz already and although I loved it, the bugs just freaked me out. Anywhere with major bugs is a problem for me.

I've always wanted to go to England...I've been a total "anglophile" ever since I was a little girl. Unfortunately, I absolutely hate flying, so I'll have to save up enough money to take a trans-atlantic cruise on the Queen Mary or something in order to get over there

Almost everywhere! Now especially Austria, Switzerland and Northern Italy. Japan, China, New Zealand, Mel Gibson's island. Certain National Parks we haven't been to. Patagonia. Also places like old Russian and eastern European cities to see the architecture, and Norway where my grandma's relatives are. Oh yeah also Eastern coast and Western coast of Canada.

Hey Casey,
I also think it'd be really cool to travel a long distance on a train. In Canada we have a really nice train that will take you from Ontario all the way out to British Columbia, and it has a car where the roof is clear so you can go and look at the stars. I would love to do that sometime. But, it's pretty expensive ... especially if you want an actual "room" on the train

Holland because my Dad is Dutch and I'd love to see where he grew up and I just feel some sort of weird connection about it.
And Antartica cause I love it when it's cold and dark and I'd love to see polar bears and seals and stuff. (Yep I'm weird, give me this over the beach any day!)

Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand! I've already been to most of Europe when I studied abroad in college. Germany was sooo beautiful, as was Austria and Switzerland. Also went to Scotland, England, France, Begium, and Denmark.

Inside the US I would love to go to Hawaii,New Mexico, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona...

Funny, while I've been all over Europe, I've only been to Indiana, Conneticut, and one day spent in Boston.

Guess I was pretty lucky to have had that European Quarter study while in College. And I didn't have IBS then either, so no worries!

Have a great time in Turkey! It's a gorgeous place, and everyone I met there was incredibly nice! (I was there for two weeks in Jan 2004 and 1 week in June 2004 to visit my bf while he was there doing study abroad and co-op abroad)

My dream vacations: Ireland&Scotland, Germany (where my family's from), Hawaii, Greece and Italy!

I've already been to Italy which was fabulous and I want to go back and see it all again and more! And I've been to Paris which has got to be one of the best places ever, so I'm dying to go back there again too and explore the rest of France...

...but as for new places...I really really want to go to Egypt and see the pyramids and all that stuff. I think it'd be fabulous to go to India and see the Taj Mahal and all the great palaces there too.

Definitely want to make it to Russia and the Czech Republic area.

Then Spain, Germany for sure, England/Ireland/Scotland, Alaska.

I LOVE to travel and there's so very much I want to see for real that I've learned about for so long.

I would love to visit Ireland b/c my father's side of the family is of irish decent.

And I would love to visit Germany b/c my maternal grandfather was in WWII and brought my grandmother back w/ him. (and after all these years she still has a very strong accent, I don't hear it cause I am used to hearing her talk but Dh says it is very strong.)

And next year I am going to visit the Vatican City in Italy b/c my friend is in the embassy there. I have always wanted to visit Italy!

And someday I would like to go to Paris and Greece.

YES it was fabulous. We started in Barcelona, took the train to Nice, then Venice, then Rome, flew to Santorini, and then our last stop was Athens. It was three weeks overall. And I kid you not--I think I gained 5-8 lbs. Frankly, that trip was the end of my "good metabolism" and my "welcome to adulthood". If I look at pictures, I can SEE the weight in Athens!! But oh the food was good. That was back when I didn't have these digestive problems really. (Sigh, the good old days). I highly recommend Italy and Greece. Venice was lovely (see it before it sinks). I could go on and on so I better stop!

The people are nice and speak perfect English and the scenery is beautiful. I saw a show about a girl that had a pet seal! My grandma was born there and when old found out she had siblings that didn't get to come over! I guess her mom never mentioned it. So they wrote to each other in their later years and my gran never went b/c she was afraid to fly. She supposedly had some land left to her there when her brother died. But almost every Minnesotan is part Norwegian. Our kids if we had any would be at least 5/8 Nor and 1/4 Swedish.

Sara-Sage and I will be going to exclusive spas in all of these great areas so we can write about them for our fictional killer luxery travel journalist jobs!!! Paid for, of course!!

Ah, getting fit and pampered and getting paid too! It's a good life! IN MY MIND!

YES!!!! Stay tuned for more information on what country we will be visiting first. It's a tough job but the two of us will suffer through hours of massages, facials, pedicures and who knows what else for our dear adoring public. he he

Can you imagine? The poor dears...facials, massages, travels. It's a tough job...and Nelly and Tina are going to do it for us with pleasure. How fortunate we are.

I just want to say...you guys are the greatest!

I have heard of Port Dover, it is about an hour and a half from me but never been there though
there is also Port Stanley, Ontario which is even closer and I have been there.
