I have not felt good in weeks, one cold after another. So if that is not bad enough I finally feel a little better today and so I go and ruin it. I decide to have a salad for lunch. A salad w/ lettuce, cucumbers neither peeled nor seeded, imitation crab meat, sunflower seeds (and lots of um), croutons, cheese and RANCH dressing!! Yeh I know not the smartest of ideas.

I had no buffer beforehand either, like bread, so now I am regretting it. I feel nauseous and that for me signals an attack of D coming. I am at work of course. I would decide to do something this dumb while at work. I just ingested 3 Immodium ADs and I am praying they kick in real fast. And to make matters worse as I am sitting here fighting nausea and praying for no attack, I am also sitting here staring at a Take 5 candy bar wanting to eat it.

Am I mental or what?

Don't beat yourself up!! We all have days like this!! You'd think we'd learn!! LOL!!

Do you have some peppermint altoids? If so, chew up a few of them, the peppermint will help settle things! Feel better!

Thanks. I don't have any altoids but I do have peppermint tea which I hadn't even thought of til you mentioned peppermint, so I am brewing myself a cup right now.

Hope things are going well for you with the specialist. I have to catch up on post so I am not up to date yet.

I hope the tea helps!!

Not much to catch up with on me!! I'm still in testing mode!! So far, lots of tests and no answers! They can't find anything wrong, which is good, I guess, but doesn't explain the three miscarriages!! One more month of tests, than I can actually try again!!

I've had a blow out, eaten something I shouldn't, ended up with a bad case of D and still felt like eating chocolate. SOmetimes I cave and make myself worse, other times I'm good. Yep, I definately feel crazy when I do this, that being said we should all take comfort that at least we are not crazy alone-lol. Hope you feel better soon.

I drank peppermint tea and felt better, I made it through my day at work no D. Then I got home and hubby had cooked spagetti for dinner with ground turkey. Which normally I can handle as long as I am on the Nexium for my GERDS. But he couldn't find the spices that I normally put in th esauce so he improvised. Well it was so spicy I almost threw up. And he swears he doesn't think he put anything spicy in it. He said he used a little italian seasonings, cayenne (isn't that spicy?), and cilantro. But whatever he did I felt nausea all last night and woke up this morning and came real close to D. It was real loose stool but not quite D and now I am at work and my tummy is cramping. So I am going to fix some peppermint tea. And that darned chocolate candy bar is still sitting on my desk calling my name. I swear it really is whispering "Christie eat me, you know you want to." LOL!

Thanks for everyones responses.

Make the peppermint tea and give that chocolate bar to your favorite co-worker! It will make your tummy happy and the co-worker will think you are just the kindest person to treat them!

Be good to your tummy! I'm at work hurting too, as usual. But for me, it's better than being at home dwelling on the pain. But then again, if I were at home, maybe I wouldn't be in pain as I could take a proper breakfast and sit on the pot and do some good yoga or excercise to help me poop!
