Wow - thanks for posting that test, Alicia! I've always considered myself a tad on the OC side, but don't think I'm as severely OC as some people. I like my routines and my family jokes about my apartment being like a museum with everything in its place. Sadly, I can picture myself doing some of what Stephie's BF and Tina's ex-BF do - just not nearly as severe and I'm not a yeller.

After taking that test, I scored 9 out of 20 on Part A and 7 out of 20 on Part B. Was nice to see that there are a lot of parts of being OCD that I don't have have.

Thanks again, Alicia!

as well as treated in part with meds and therapy- my BIL has OCD and ADD and is very easy for my sister who likes her place neat to live with- he cleans up more then she does... I can't wait to see what happens when their baby is born though. he isn't that hard to deal with but I know I'd never keep a house neat enough and needing to do so to make him happy would drive me insane...

what meds do you take for OCD? I was taking paxil..but, couple months ago went on to take Lexapro (10mg, then 20)..I am finding my OCD is getting worse. I called our Doc and he said to start cutting down to half (10 mg. now) and at our next appointment in two weeks we would change meds to something more helpful. Was thinking of going back to Zoloft. I have been on so many meds for OCD - it waxes and wanes...so I can't really remember what worked and what didn't. I am IBS-C...but, pain predominant. Have you read Brain Lock by Jeffrey Schwarz?

Yep. I have a copy of brain lock. I'm on effexor, risperdal and wellbutrin. I'm not convinced the effexor is the one for me. I'm thinking of switching back to paxil.

How are you doing with your OCD? I'm strugging with it. I find the worse my IBS is, the worse my OCS is. Maybe because I need some control over something when I can't control what's going on in my body? Or is the IBSs worse because the OCD obsessions are worse.

Adrian was looking over my shoulder when I was on the boards, and saw your post to me about OCD so he agreed to take the test.
We had a long talk the other night and he has been really good about it.
He took the test, and he did fine on the first part of the test but on the second part (how it affects you), he got a _really_ high score. It said he might have OCD. So I guess we'll have to see.
Thanks for posting than HanSolo, that was really helpful and it really made it easier for us to talk about it.
Thanks again!

I scored 15/20 and 16/20, but I'm convinced I don't have OCD. Interesting. I think all my OCD related behaviors are just related to the IBS. I mean, my room isn't clean or anything. Hmmm.

I scored 6/20 on the first and 7/20 in the second and it said I may have ocd. I know I don't I think it tells everyone that~! Very intresting though!
