Thanks, I just looked up the site and sent an email asking if they knew of any Christian Psychs here in Australia. I am overwhelmed by all your love and support!

Trish I will add you my prayer list too.
How is your day going now? Are you feeling any better?
You have so much to deal with, but with a group of people praying for you God will comfort you. I always have to put hope in the scripture verse that talks about how God doesn't give us more than we can handle.
God knows what you can handle, even though you may not agree with Him.
Just know we are here to read when you need to vent.
Blessings,
Barbara

Check this website out. It was helpful for me recently. I've been feeling God has been silent and this article deals with God's silence.

Trish-

You strike me as a strong woman. I am sure that your kids are good people because of the attention and love you have given them. Take a moment and give yourself credit for that.

Have you searched online for a support group similiar to our's here that other parents of children with Aspergers post on.? Maybe Dan could do this research with you and become another support system for you with Luke (I love that name)and on his weekend visits the two of them might spend one on one time together, alleviating both the jealousy and give you some down time for yourself.

I am in the middle of taking two finals this week, but would be happy to help you with online searches if you haven't time to play around with the computer. Please let me know if I could do that for you as I would love to take a little weight off your shoulders!

Although I usually keep my faith quietly to myself, I want to share with you what my late grandmother passed to my mom who passed to me, "Let go and let God". Give Him some of you worries and burdens. His shoulders are wide He wants to help those who seek Him. Maybe through this you will go from student to teacher and then be able to be a support for someone down the road. May God be with you and your family.

So, you know the saying "His mysterious ways", well, let me tell you, I did a google search for Asperger's support and the first 20 sites were all based in Australia! I would have assumed that the US would have popped up first, but Someone knew what I was looking for!

So here are links to various sites, some with in-person support groups, some with the best links to try and still others with general info. I have no idea what part of Australia you are in, so some of these may be far from you...

www.asperger.asn.au (I think this might be the best place to start.), link 2,link 3, link 4, link 5

I know at least 3 of these are in Australia, but they may all be. Hope this helps you find a litle peace and a shoulder to lean on. As it is here, it always nice to have people on your side who know what you are going through. Hope this helps!

Wow, I will certainly keep you in prayer and it will be pretty easy to remember because MY Luke also has Asperger's, he is only 4 but still, you can see where it will be fresh on my mind. I think Asperger's is an especially trying condition for the parent, because the kids are so bright, it can easily come off as though we parents have just "spoiled" them somehow, people can't always understand what is really going on in their little heads that makes them react the way they do. For me, that can make life a little lonely. I'll pray for you and Luke!

Josie,

I had a quick look at those sites, thanks for your help. I will look into them in more depth later today. It is always amazing and humbling to see God at work!

Trish, I was just wondering how you're doing? Have you been able to find a Christian psychiatrist for your son? Just wanted to let you know that we're still praying....
.....this Scripture is beautiful and it's full of hope:

Psalm 138:8 - "The LORD will fulfill His purpose for me."

Praying that the gifts and talents the Lord has given Luke will manifest and that he will have peace, in Jesus' name.

Blessings,
Kaybee C
