I'm so glad this board was started! I just need to tell someone about our plague like stomach virus that my 6 year old daughter has had since Friday. Fever, BAD headache, nausea... Took her to the dr and he said it's all part of this virus. Trying to keep her hydrated.
Just thought I'd check in for a little adult contact!!! 
Hubby is being great though, occupying my 5 year old son, etc. But of course, my child wants her mommy when she's sick, so I've not been too far away from the sick bay!

Valerie,
I hope your little girl is well soon. Doesn't it just break your heart seeing them sick? You always wish you could just swap places with them.
I'm glad to hear your husband is a good support to you and I know what you mean about kids wanting their Mummys. I must admit I love being wanted and needed by my son. I am enjoying it now before he turns into an obstinate teenager and doesn't want a bar of me!

I hope you are also taking good care of yourself (but it sounds like you're doing great!)
I hope she's feeling better today. I remember those viruses--yuck! I got lots of popsicles, gatorade, and flat soda (to keep the nausea at bay)--between the popsicles and the soda, it wasn't all that bad once I stopped vomiting!
Let us know when she's feeling better--we'll celebrate with you!

Thank you very much! She slept through the night with no throw ups, thankfully. But wokeup at 5:30 with a headache and stuffed up nose and fever... again. We may head back to the dr.

Hope that your daughter feels better soon! I'm not a parent yet, but I remember those days when I was sick as a child -- so not fun. Good luck at the doctor's!
