What was your fav/least fav subject in school?

Lets see...I enjoyed music/choir, english, and religious subjects.

Math was my worst enemy. I was always interested in science...but I had too many questions to get them answered (and my LD's made it tough too). Sometimes I wish I could back. I know better how to handle my LD's and I bet I could learn a great deal more now with my present knowledge!

And I would TOTALY take art classes!

P.S. In college I enjoyed meteorology!

Lets see. My favourites were English (I love to write and read, even the boring stuff) and ummm I think that was about it really. Modern history was okay, but I loathed Ancient, hated geography and maths was my worst enemy (I sound really dumb here. I think i'm just an english person and if there had been an animal welfare class or something I would have been totally in love!)

I loved art, english and drama, and hated PE with a passion.
I was the girl who had a note from her mum to say couldn't do PE every week. I wrote most of 'em myself though....

Ugh, Calculus & Linear Algebra bring back strong nightmares of when I took them in college.

I've ALWAYS loved history. I am a geek with useless knowledge when it comes to history!

I loved French the most I think, also English.
I HATED Home Economics, and quit after one year, but it was due to a personality clash with a teacher. On a whole I liked school and I only disliked subjects when the teachers weren't engaging.

YES I WAS A SWOT..there you got it out of me!

I loved my art classes too, but nothing ever tickled me quite like my English classes. I aced every single one, even in college, without even trying. I love to write, I love to read, I even loved having to read things & analyze them & write essays on them. Language fascinates me, too. Yup, English geek all the way.

I **HATED** math, and still do. I don't think "hate" is even a strong enough word. LOL!

Music literally got me through high school (I have a Bachelor of Music).
My worst subject was Philosophy of Education in Grad School. It was horrible. I had nightmares about it MONTHS after I graduated.

Let's see..I don't have to pick just one do I?

Well I always have done quite well in all subjects thankfully so I don't really dislike any b/c I didn't do well...but I'd have to say that my favorite subject was probably math. High school calculus was fantastic - I remember my teacher told me they couldn't give me more than a 100 in the class but I had actually had a 106 or something from extra credit and stuff

Hmm...then I liked my music classes and art classes too (which I'd hope I liked since I decided to go to an art school)

Now in college..I think I have a whole new appreciation for art history classes. They are just so interesting and when they get into questioning religion and stuff I just find it all so fascinating. This year I love them even more after studying in Italy and France over the summer and I have actually been to/seen the places we talk about. I love it!

Well I think that's pretty much it. Good question Ruchie!

In high school, my favourite subjects were music and physics -- back then I had the idea that I'd probably do either one. Since I'm now applying for an MA in Political Science, it just goes to show how things change from high school.

My least favourite was art -- not that I dislike art in any way, but I found out when I took it that I had absolutely no talent in it.

My fav - MATH all the way! I rock at it, I teach it to myself pretty much, just need the book! I tutored calculus for people in college while I was in high school...it just comes natural! Which is I guess why I became an engineer!

Least fav subject?? You guessed it! ENGLISH! My mom is an English and ESL teacher, so of course I had to do good at it, but I HATE writing papers.

I had a LOT of friends exactly like you in school... by senior year, I was making a lot of money writing papers for people. Wish I could have had someone return the favor with my math homework, though, especially in college... I ended up having to take "basic math" (really, precalc) twice before I passed with a D.

In high school, it was my science and language classes that were my favorite, PE was my least favorite!

In college, my favorites have been the few English classes I've taken. My least favorite are my lab courses - they're only 2 credits but they're so much work, it's ridiculous!

I hated history (especially American history which I still hate except for my strange crush on Alexander Hamilton) but now I love it! I wish I had learned more then so that now I would know even more. I especially love English history and the Napoleonic era. My husband and I actually have history conversations which would totally bore most people. In school I liked English, geography and art.

...in biology class in 11th grade, so I think I hated biology most. Chemistry second. I aced everything else, though, and even tho I was a total punk I was on litmag and did poetry workshops, math club, latin bowl, etc. I was that girl on the honor roll with a shaved head and purple liberty spikes and a peralta cab skateboard doing wall tricks in the cafeteria. We all end up teachers, you know.

Tommy, did you take Linear Algebra?? Me too! I took CalcI, CalcII, Dif EQ, and Linear Algebra. Nothing like long proofs about dividing by zero to make you question where your education is going!!

I'm loving the visual of the purple liberty spikes. I can relate. I was more of a metalhead/stoner type, but I was honor roll all the way.

I loved bio... that was the only science class that ever interested me, and I think 99% of that was getting to show off because I was the ONLY girl in the entire grade who WANTED to dissect the pig. I hacked right into it. My lab partner was suitably grossed out.

The rest of the science classes were real snoozers, though.

I think we would have got along great, though I was straight edge I had a bunch of stoner friends! I hacked into the pig too, but I got bored and lit a spot of formaldehyde on the table. It was connected to a bigger spot and so on, til it lit up the pig. Think thick, brown noxious smoke. Think the look of horror on the lab partner's face. Think fire alarm. Think a week of detention (my teacher covered for me). I had to give up my zippo.

Good times.

I'm somewhat of a Math nerd. My math has to serve a purpose like a practical business application. If it doesn't I lose interest and do enough to get by as evidenced in my calc classes. I did really well in my Finance classes (Finance was my major and I had a 3.7 overall in those classes)because I saw a busines spurpose to it. The good ole Black-Scholes model for calculating Options prices! Woohoo!!

As for the facial and massage... well, I'm taking my friend out on her bday and we're going to get massages. And I need to either see a dermotologist or get a facial cos I'm all blotchy, and I have no insurance so the facial is the cheaper option!! AND the results are way better too!

Oh jeez- at what point in school? I mean, geez, I'm still here.

I guess I'll go with high school and college. I think mine might sound strange...

High School
Favorite: Playwriting/Directing
Least Favorite: English

College
Favorite: Social/Political Philosophy
Least Favorite: Acting

I'm not a big fan of math either, but that's just because I'm not terribly good at it. I actively LOATHE being asked to act and for some reason the way English classes are taught. Go figure.

Well when I was in Catholic grade school, it would have to be Spelling and handwriting (if that's a subject? I think in Catholic school it was...we got graded on it)

When I got into Jr. High and High School, I think Art was my fav and anything to do with government and history I hated. Still to this day I don't follow government and I stink at remembering history. Sad I know!

Well I'm still in college now, and since I'm only a freshman I'm sure my choice will change down line. But right now, I'm HATING Physics.

I HATED that class! My teacher was such a snob and she thought she was a therapist or something, it was SUCH a waste of time class. I mean, don't get me wrong, I hated math like lots of other people (I am so bad with numbers) and Chemistry was like running straight into a wall, but MAN was CAPP awful!
I remember we had to sit in circles (this is in 11th grade) and talk about sex and relationships and we each had to do a presentation on a kind of birth control - I had to do the female condom, it was ridiculous. Then there were all these little motos you had to remember all the time like:
"Focus on the journey" and "Follow your heart" and "Change is constant" and "learning is ongoing" and then explain what each of them meant for all this different cr@p.
I very rarely went to that class.
I loved English and History in school, and I liked Drama 'cause the boy I was in looooove with all through high school was in all my drama classes and we used to flirt all afternoon. Hee hee.

English and journalism were my favorites. I hated MATH---and still do. Still can't balance my checkbook and have been known to give cashiers the wrong change! I draw a total blank when it comes to numbers, but I was the only one in my college grammar class to make a 100 on the tests. (I know! How nerdy!)
