I'll brag about my heat and then go into the witness protection program. In my opinion, it's cold here at a long sleeve shirt 62 degrees. Brrrr! Darn cold front in California. Actually had to leave my sandels in the closet and put on normal shoes....

... just kidding! LOL It is 62 degrees and it is cold to Californians, but I'm sure it's NOTHING compared to what you guys are getting overthere in the eastern part of the states! Come visit California and as Gov. Schwarzenegger would say, "Come buy Kalie-four-nie-a grown foods!".

It's 5 here right now. They're forecasting our low for tonight to be -9 to -11, and that's before the wind chill. Brrrr!

I love cold weather and snow, but that's a little too cold for even MY liking.

Anything below 20 feels the same to me... and if the wind isn't blowing, it can be -10 and it'll still feel kinda warm to me. LOL! There's no doubt that I'm living in the right state. Where I get cold is sitting around the house at night, doing nothing... then, for some reason, I'm freezing. Go figure!

The weather has been perfect here the past several days. We had some lows in the 30s but then it warms up to be a very comfortable sunny day. It has warmed backed up though and now it's back to the mid 60's and low 70's. I miss the colder weather though, it puts me in such a good mood!!

Your weather up there has sounded quite rough lately. Hope you're staying warm!!

All I know is that my mom's side of the family (the Scottish side) are all the same way... we love the cold. But I did grow up in NY. I lived in Maryland/Virginia for a few years, and it seemed SO ungodly hot to me! Give me cold weather anyday - just don't put me anywhere where it's consistently hotter than 90, or I'll be very, very unhappy. LOL!

But seriously? There are 2 keys for staying warm:
1 - Dress in layers. A thermal shirt and a light sweater are inexplicably warmer than a heavy sweater.
2 - Forget pride and fashion! I have the ugliest boots you will EVER see, but they keep my feet warm, so who cares? I also wear a hat with earflaps and a parka that makes me look 50lbs bigger than I am, and in the worst of winter, I wear my pants a size too big so there's room to put thermals on under them if I go outside.

Those are my tips. Although probably my best one is to not go outside when it's really cold! LOL

*hugs*

Right now at 7:18pm, it is 75*. Very warm, I am sitting under a ceiling fan blowing full speed! I went out for a walk today wearing jeans and a sweat shirt, wishing I had on a t-shirt. It was warm, the sun was out and the sky was partly cloudy, mostly sunny.
Tomorrow it is suppossed to start raining, and the cows are getting ready to start calving. They won't do a darned thing until the weather gets nasty, thats just how it is.

Wishing it was much cooler here, I love my flannel pj's!!

Stay warm ya'll. gayla

Si and I were commenting how we'd like to move to the States (since I found out that I won't be able to buy my supplements from the shops soon as they'll be "illegal" or something )...and I was saying how I'd like to go New England and Si said it was too cold. Maybe he was right

But you do have snow, right? I love snow, but maybe that's just the novelty factor.

I was thinking it was cold here last night and I'm not even sure it touched freezing!

Oh baby is it cold here in Northern NY. I only moved 3 hours North and it's sooo much colder up here than in Rochester. It went down to about -20 F last night, and is supposed to do the same again tonight. Our wind chill was -30 or below last night... and we still had school today, because the kids have midterms and they didn't want to screw up the schedule. How nice, let's make them wait at the bus stop and get frostbite instead!! Oy.

It's up to a balmy 0 right now, though!! Lol.

Hey, I live in High Rise North. We don't call that area the wind tunnel for nothing. Aren't the high rises designed after some wind-producing designs from Arizona?
