Ahhhh the newness and excitement of school...those were the days...
I loved school during the first year when it was the fundamental type classes that everyone took - it's funny to see that what I thought was stress then was really like a vacation! Now I spend my whole life in the computer labs at school - weekends I'm not out partying with friends, I'm at school working till they kick us out at 3am. It's a great life The stress is unbelievable and the interior design major is definitely the hardest on campus..or so they say. At least it's the most professionally oriented. We have formal presentations all the time and are doing like REAL work. I think Graphic Design is probably the closest to that too...we graduate and are ready to work. The other majors are a little more free - and it's funny to hear them complain about working on a painting they have the whole semester to do, and they think it's hard to work for 3 hours on it. I love it! LOL

That's so exciting that your son is doing that work on the side too. That will be great for his resume. You know that are schools where you can major solely in screenprinting. I think that's funny. Good for him though. I'm glad he's enjoying school too. Isn't paying for all the supplies fun? We probably spend an extra $1,000 a semester on supplies alone. It's crazy! I don't know how they can assume that everyone is able to fork out that kinda money when we're already paying $10,000 a semester. It's just nuts!

Well I'm glad he's enjoying himself. Does he ever feel like his friends at "normal" schools don't think he really has to "work". I always found that annoying - especially because I'm working way way harder than people I know at "real" schools. Oh well, they just don't understand.

Thanks Nat!

I got the purse done but I'm feeling just awful today so I'll try to make it to the post office if I can, but otherwise I'll send it out first thing next week. Thanks for caring Glad you made it back to school safely and I hope you're feeling okay too!

Update - Now I feel WORSE! new

I played it safe yesterday and didn't really eat anything until last night so I had a baguette and put a little turkey on it because I was feeling so good all day. Well while I was eating my stomache was kinda uncomfortable feeling so I stopped eating it and ate some plain bread, then decided to take a few different pills and just lay in bed and watch tv. Well I was feeling fine and thought that was great.

Well then I wake up around 2am to a dream I was having where I wasn't feeling good in the dream, so once I actually wake up I realize I really wasn't. So I tried to ignore it but that didn't work so I got up and had a lovely bout of D. Well then I'm feeling better and go back to bed. Basically then I kinda went back and forth between having chills and feeling clammy and needless to say I was up till like 4:30am and most of the time I just sat in the bathroom because I felt like I was going to throw up. I am deadly afraid of throwing up so it was just killing me to feel like that. Maybe I have a stomach bug? My mom thinks that I've had that all week maybe and my pills and will to not throw up is maybe why it hasn't entirely escalated to being anything.

I don't know but I finally got a little sleep until like 6 and now I had to cancel my appointment for a pedicure this morning and I'm so bummed about that too. What a way to spend my last day of vacation- I had so many plans!

I think I'm just rambling now and I'm going to get back in bed and waste away the day as best I can. Hope everyone else is having a much better day.

I am so sorry you are feeling so bad.

I can empathize - I am terrified of throwing up too. If I get nauseated I start to shake all over because I get so scared - I have done that since I was a little girl.

Hopefully this bug will work its way out of your system. Try to drink water if you can to keep hydrated and rest rest rest!

Hugs, Love & Prayers--

Oh sorry you are still feeling so crappy. I agree with your mom that it is probably a bug, and not IBS, since IBS really doesn't usually wake people from a sound sleep -- plus the chills and the lack of appetite and all that just doesn't fit. I hope you feel better soon!

Hey Brit,
You poor poor thing, Im so sorry you're feeling so bad.....just keep your chin up and do whatever you can to make yourself feel better...get that hot water bottle out! I know you've still got 2 more days till school starts so hopefully you'll be feeling a lot better by then, just rest and take it easy. That does suck about the pedicure though, Ive never had one done are they any good? I think it does sound like you have a tummy bug thats been lurking in your system for a few days, hopefully cos of that it'll pass quickly now that its hit you. Its horrible waiting to feel better...I hope you do real soon. lots and lots of hugs xxxxxx

Brittany-
There is a stomach virus going around here. It sounds like you might have the same thing! Get some rest and hope you feel better!
