So pretty! I wish my hum bug landlord would let me have a kittie or even a puppy would be better! He told me I could have a fish! Yippie! Scrooge!

Oh, that's too bad. Is it in your lease that you can't have a real pet? Most places allow you too if you are willing to pay for any damages that they may incur.

Yes, it's in the lease. And he won't let me have one even if I give him extra deposit. I'm thinking of moving anyhow, but apartments around here are very anti-pet! Almost every ad in the paper says no pets!

But that's exactly why I want one. I live alone and another living creature would be so great for me! Get my mind off myself having to care for something else. Not to mention the unconditional love, always happy to see you, the benefits and stress relief of actually petting them. This is proven research.

Okay, I let someone else take your time now! We seem to be jumping back and forth, Tina!

Haha... and I'll probably change it again before the night is over, because I don't like this one much. I might change it back to the one I had up before.

I don't know about being a model. I'm too short and dumpy in real life. If you think these pictures look different, you should see a few I have from a few years ago - you probably wouldn't even know it was the same person. In the span of one month, I went from having waist-length burgundy braids to a 1" long purple pixie cut. Haha.

Confused and mystified by the profound nature of his silliness. His new favorite trick during "monkey time" as we call it at our house is to run full-blast through the house, bank off the hallway wall, and fly onto the bed. Feet never touch the ground.
Here he is in repose.

Well, the funny thing is that my hair is actually red right now. It's hard to see in that picture because it's dark and tiny, but when I'm in the sun...

I've never tried highlights, mostly because I can't do them myself. I've had my hair colored "professionally" twice, and both times, they butchered it so bad that I had to fix it myself when I got home. LOL! I stick to what I can do myself now.

Tina,
She is such a beautiful cat! She looks just like this cat that my sister had, but since she was older than me and I was home more the cat was so in love with me and would sleep in my bed. We taught her to give kisses, too, she was soooo cute. She had six toes on each foot, when we got her from the shelter, she had been named "Six Toes" by the people who found her and brought her in (how original, huh?), and my sister renamed her Jolie (sp?), it means 'Beautiful' or 'pretty' in French, I can't remember which.

thanks for posting those pictures !

She's cutie, huh! I'm glad you agree.

She gives me kisses when I ask her too. She sleeps on my pillow EVERY single night for most of her life so far! I can't fall asleep with her there. I know it's not hygenic, and not great because I have allergies but I just can't stop. I'm addicted to falling alseep with her purring on my pillow. It's quiet lovely and so soothing!

Jolie used to try to sleep ON my face! That cat was nuts! ilet her sleep next to my head, though, as long as I could breathe! THat is part of the reason why she slept in my room, my sis developed allergies and would kick her out when she slept!

I had a cat that did that too. On the face, across the neck like a mink stole, or on the pillow on top of the head. I have been given to understand that that's where the old wives' tale about cats sucking babies' breath originated: cats like to sleep near your head cause your breath is warm.

Wow what a beautiful color. Is that natural?? If it is you don't need highlights. I have some red to my hair but it needs help looking more red. I have this excellent "mousse" stuff that I use on my hair. It's chestnut color and you put in on wet hair and it lasts about 5 or 6 washes. It's great to experiment with since it's not permanent. I use it in between my "real" color that I get every 6-8 weeks. Holds me over.

I know what you mean by "butchering". I once had a color put on called bodacious purple. I should have known by the name. That is was!!!! I was only in my early 20's so at that age who cared!

Cat's are great. There's a neighborhood cat that visits me (mostly during bad weather) and camps out in our back yard. I call him "Frankie" cause he acts like some "out of place dude from Brooklyn transplanted in Los Angeles." No disrespect intended to all of you NYC people...

I'm one of those peculiar types who likes both cats and dogs, equally. Chihuahuas are my favorite breed of pooch. -hope to have couple of chis, one day. Yet, there's something about a cat that defies description.

I had to dig to find pictures. And sorry they're crappy - at the time I didn't have a digital camera, just a webcam.

This is what I looked like in early February 2001:

A couple weeks later, I looked more like this:

I LOVED having my hair that short... I'm thinking about doing it again, but probably not purple this time.

Yeah, I think "bodacious purple" would be a giveaway - LOL!!

And nope, not natural at all - I dye it myself at home. My natural color is dark brown with an ever-increasing amount of gray (I started going gray at 14!). When I was little, though, my natural color was almost like this, just a bit more blonde. I hate how my hair darkened as soon as I hit puberty.

OMG so did mine......turn grey at a VERY young age and got darker as I got older. My mother was the same way, however, she made hers blonde long ago...Just can't do it. My fair skin and blonde hair????? Ewwww would look horrible. Unfortunately blonde is the only color that covers grey well. I'll keep dying mine, red, purple whatever it takes!
