Hi everyone -
So I've posted about my much anticipated trip to China and several of you gave me great advice on foods (the ones I remembered how to say in English at least!) But I needed to hear from someone about Ambien. My Doc gave me a perscription for it to help me sleep on the plane and to help me get over jet lag more easily. Any advice for taking it? I've never taken it before and the strongest sleep-aid I ever take is maybe a tylenol pm or 2 if I'm having really, really bad cramps on my period. I don't want to knock myself into oblivian to the point that I'll fall on the lap of the person beside me or anything! Let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Mindy

The best suggestion I have for you is this: take one as a test run one night!

I find that they last about 5 hours or so for me and I'm out LIKE A LIGHT. I wouldn't hear a band if it played on my bed!

It may not be the best idea if you don't want to be commatose on the plane.

I agree with JenX: Give it a trial run!

I'm a statistical anomaly, but Ambien makes me feel dizzy and pukey in the morning. Not fun! Give it a try to make sure you feel okay on it!
