We bought our new car by using the internet---and it was so easy and painless! I highly recommend it. I'll never buy a car any other way.

Last week, I requested quotes from some of the online car buying services. They sent my request to dealers in my area, and I received a very low price (below invoice) on a 2004 model. My husband and I were skeptical, thinking it was too good to be true. After emailing the internet manager several times, I finally called him and asked him for the details. He said they were able to offer it below invoice because the manufacturer was giving the dealers an incentive for each car sold before the end of the month (today.)

We gave them our financial info over the phone, the dealership quoted as a great APR rate, and they went ahead and arranged the financing. They didn't have what we wanted on their lot, but they searched their online inventory of 48 dealers and located the one we wanted and had it transferred to their dealership.

Still skeptical, we went in to see them today, shook the internet sales manager's hand, signed the papers, previewed the car, and drove off!!!!!!! There were no surprises, no added charges, it was exactly as they had said it would be---and we got a beautiful car.

(A Honda Accord Ex, with leather heated seats, sunroof, 6-CD changer and satellite radio, 8 cupholders, alloy wheels, controls for radio and cruise on the steering wheel, dual AC controls, etc.)

That was so easy! You don't have to deal with slimy car salesmen ever again!

thats great.. you do need to deal with them if you want to test drive different cars to decide what you want though.. thats the bad thing, but given that I probably will never drive anything except a subaru again shouldnt' be a problem for me.. DH on the other hand has to be the pickiest car owner when its new or relatively, but could care less with junkers so I try to keep him in reliable old cars instead. easier to deal with.
