The pain isn't that bad- it only hurts for a moment!
If you really want one, just go and get it done. And remember, no matter how much of a wimp you are, there has got to be bigger wimps out there that have had it done!

Casey- I know what you mean by feeling better IBS-wise while getting one done. I was so nervous in the morning that my IBS was flaring up for the first time in a while, but as soon as I went under the needle I was concentrating so hard on sitting still and breathing normally that the time just flew by and I felt great.
I found myself drifting off in the chair thinking of my next one...than I said to myself- "Sheri, wait awhile to make sure you don't regret this one before you do it again!"
Maybe I will get a piercing for my birthday...
and 8 tattoos! I don't know where you found room for them all!

That is such a beautiful tattoo, Shell!
It is always nice to have a tattoo with meaning.

My wife got her belly button pierced and she almost passed out! It does look great though. I get my rush by doing things like scuba diving, parachuting and used to ride motorcycles.

Hey there!! That's pretty cool that you're a part of the skin project. I friend of mine told me all about it and I've been debating emailing Shelley ever since.

Do you know anything about the actually work that everyone's getting tattooed?

Great tattoos by the way...I love the blue birds!!

true, but there is a double issue- the other is that it costs money we don't have these days, especially if we are going to try to sell the house and move real soon.

Oh goodness...I have to respond to this one I have a frog on my lower stomach (left side), a four leaf clover on my right hip (my lucky spot), and "mysterious" in Chinese on the small of my back. While we are on the subject, is anyone into body piercing?

Yeah, yeah... not surprisingly, I'm pierced too. LOL! Actually, I took out most of my piercings at this point - I have a lot of trouble healing them, compared to tattoos - so all I have besides my ears is a pierced nose. I have gauged piercings in my ears, though, which is a little unusual.

I wasn't sure I even wanted to admit that, but what the heck.
