Just had a gluten free pecan pie sweetened with coconut nectar, which claims to have a low glycemic index on the label. I've never seen it before, so I have no clue if it's safe for "US". I'm having an IBS episode, but not sure what caused it, since I had a big, rich New Year's Day dinner! We had prime rib (au jus), potatoes with dairy free/gluten free sour cream (which did have carageenen but I only had a bit), sweet potatoes, corn, horseradish, and pecan pie. See any red flags besides the carageenen and maybe the coconut nectar?? Ohhhh, just remembered there were raisins in the pie Anyway, I'm SICK. Thanks, Karen

Coconut nectar has more excess fructose (i.e. more of the sugar fructose than the sugar glucose) which can be a trigger for many individuals with IBS.
