high impact exercise and IBS

HI everyone-I tend to do low impact exercise such as biking swimming and walking. However, due to weight gain, I thought I'd try Zumba. During the workout, the instructor had us do some jumping. I felt fine at the time, but later ate lunch (the same lunch I'd eaten 2 days in a row with no IBS problems). After lunch I experienced a bad IBS attack, which I rarely have anymore.
Can high impact movements and exercise bring on IBS problems?

Generally speaking exercise is helpful for managing IBS symptoms. I swimming 1km each morning before breakfast and it makes a difference. Have a look at the following:
