Is anyone else out there trying P90X? I am 29 and have been diagnosed with IBS about 2 years ago, but didn't acknowledge it until less than a year ago. I have started P90X over and over again, because I know I am fit enough to get through it, but I keep having IBS symptoms getting in the way. The workout really helps me stay on a regular bowel schedule (I get constipation more than diahrea). Plus it makes me feel better and more energetic, but it's so frustrating when I fall off the wagon because you have a specific workout for a whole 90 days ... EVERY DAY! I miss one or more days, and it's back to the beginning. It's a tough commitment with IBS.

I've been on the IBS diet for a few months, and starting P90X over and over, but now I'm starting to get dizzy spells. Is there some nutrient I'm missing with the IBS diet that I need for an athletic fitness plan? It would be great to know there are some other IBS athletes out there ...

Hi Krista and welcome to the boards.

I completed my first round of P90X at the end of Aug. I was determined to get into shape and loose some weight so I stuck to the plan. I am 52 and had not exercised in several years. My plan was to start on round two a couple of weeks after finishing the first round. So far I have not been able to get back into the routine.

I am "D" so I don't find that my IBS symptoms keep me from exercising. I find that exercising helps me feel better in every way. Do your IBS symptoms keep you from exercising?

Like Tony says "keep pushing that button". I guess that is what we both need to do. I wish you luck getting into the routine.
