Hi,
I don't know where to post this, so I hope this is okay. My Mom and I both have IBS; my Mom seems to be ibs-c. My mom is 55 and reached the point where she needed to get a colonoscopy . She did and she followed all of their directions, fasting 24 hours in advance, etc. Unfortunately, her colon wasn't completely empty, even with the stuff that they gave her, so she has to redo it. My mom is very sensitive about this and it's made her so upset that she's leaving her doctor of 13 years who recommended the guy who did the procedure because the guy who did the procedure accused her of eating. Add to that she's had to pay over $500 for it. I can't help but think that her IBS, even though it's well controlled, had something to do with this, but I doubt she mentioned that she has it to the doctor who did the procedure (again, she doesn't like to talk about such things). Does anyone know of anything I can tell my mom to help her better prepare for her next colonoscopy so this doesn't happen again?
Thanks,
Stephanie
