Is blood rushing to the face and ears part of IBS?

New here so was not sure where to post questions.

Last night I was told by docs that I have IBS and have had it for years. I was wondering does anyone else get blood rushing to their face and ears and a rise in blood pressure when feeling IBS? Are those two things symptoms of ibs?

I get these symptoms when I'm not feeling well. Like I'm flushed and my cheeks feel very hot. My heartbeat sometimes picks up and I usually have to have some cold fresh air for a few minutes for it to calm down.

Me too. I truly believe you can name most any symptom and someone with IBS has experienced it!
One thing triggers another. For people like me, I'm fine until I start having an "attack" - then the physical leads to the emotional/mental aspects, so I may wake up in the middle of the night with my heart pounding, burning up/sweating, but by the time I'm up, I'm cold and clammy (some of this may be hormones too - I'm 59! ... But, yes, I think just the stress of a bad flare up can cause everything you mentioned. HTH

I am not get my 10 year chronic chests pain and anxiety and panic attacks. Who Would would have thought all these things were caused by IBS! thank God I found you guys. I might actually be able to reclaim my life once again.

Yeah, that sounds like an anxiety episode. Of course anxiety does make IBS worse, so they are related. But I think what you're describing is anxiety. Is it happening during certain situations?
