I suffer with terrible with PMS a week or more sometimes before my period. I used to be on the Pill for years and wouldnt suffer this bad. I went off a year ago since I had been on them so long and was on some other meds that made the pill ineffective anyway. I never knew how bad my sypmtoms were until being off of it. I can chart it like clockwork. If its not my regualr Ibs its this so my whole month is usually all messed up between the 2.
It flares up the IBS and Im miserable all around. I have considered going back on Birth control to help but Im so concerned about more side effects. Please anyone else suffer from horrible PMS. Mine include headache/migraines/ Nausea/ bloating/ breast tenderness/ cramps/ Nausea/ cranky / tired/ backache and Loose bowels accompanied by IBS attacks at times.. Any suggestions for Relief that will not upset our stomaches Im desperate!!!

hey I too went on the pill to allieviate pms and cramping and it does help. My sister inlaw uses 5HTP for her pms and says it works great. I use St Johns Wort for anxiety and panic attacks and that helps me. Talk to someone knowledgable in herbal remedies. This works great for me but interacts with birth control making it inefective(so I'm told) so i have to careful but it really works.
Another thing I was told about is aux Vomica. Again ask an herbalist but it's supposed to work for a lot of those symptoms.
