Sorry, I just didn't want to continue this thread in my journal... It's making it a bit difficult to keep track of my days because I view posts in flat mode.

without sounding too graphic - my issue(s) in the past have been hard stool create anal fissures - which cause bleeding. Will the powder create such a hard stool that i will be straining to create a bowel movement?

The Acacia powder should help with this - if you are C then it helps to soften and bulk up the stool and make it easier to pass. If you are D, then it should help absorb the excess water, making it more normal.

IBS-A since age 12, and fructose sensitive; with the exception of my pregnancy, have been following Heather's diet since Nov. 19, 2007.
Taking 12g of Acacia per day. Relatively stable since March 2008!

Started taking Powder today [1/2 tspn twice thus far], plus a Peppermint pill and tea - i am NOT a tea drinker, so this was the most painful part of all. Crampy today, with a normal BM this morning, but had to go unexpectedly early this afternoon before I went to the gym. its these type of episodes that I am confused by and looking to eliminate with this therapy. Not knowing when, or what strength the D will come is what frustrates me - any thoughts?
