why do ibs people get fat i just dont get it i eat healthy i just keep gaining weight

Sorry your frustrated.......

Why don't you start your own thread for daily reports like a few of us do. I.E. "REPORTING IN - SHELL MARR". Maybe if you post what your eating and portion sizes, as well as anything else your willing to share.... what meds your on that might be a contributing factor. Then maybe others here can give you some ideas of what to try.

Not everyone with IBS gets fat.... there are a lot who are not able to keep the weight on or gain weight, depending on how bad they have it.

I swear I have gained weight as a result of IBS. I seem to always feel hungry. i always have some kind of stomach pain and eating seems to help. especially after a bowel movement my stomach feels so empty so i have to eat. I dont know its strange but I know I never used to feel the need to eat as much and as often, before I had IBS. And of course my mind wasnt constantly centred on my belly!
