Hi all,

I have been wary about doing a regular ab workout because of my sensitive stomach. Since I have IBS-D, I certainly don't need to start an exercise that will make me "go" more. However, I don't want to neglect this part of the body since I work out pretty much all other areas regularly. So I was wondering if anyone had any good ab exercises that won't upset my stomach? Any info would be really appreciated! Thanks so much!

I don't have any advice for you. I'm IBS-C and I do abs to help that..... helps me "keep things moving". Simple crunches.... up and down and side to side.

I think ask your Dr. I have a VERY VERY VERY sensitive tummy and yes, I think when you do ab crunches it hurts more but I think it will also benefit to strengthen those muscles aswell.

You can't neglect that part of your body as we really need to keep tummy muscles strengthened and I think it helps eventually.
Do keep in touch with your Doc, though and don't overdo it. Build up to it gradually.
