Gym: 14 mins stretching of legs, then "Kick-It" class (kickboxing, included abs & stretching at the end) worked out 1 hour + 14 mins, burned 587 calories at 40% fat. It was a new round today... a lot of fun... I turned my heart rate monitor off at the end of class, but then I ended up staying after with the instructor and going over some of the new moves one on one... so that was another 10+ minutes.

There was a shooting near our neighborhood today about 4:15pm... 2 of the cop cars went right by me and then I drove by the scene on my way home...I had NO CLUE it was a shooting and the suspect was still not in custody! The victim ended up passing away I'm still waiting for the news to give more updates... our doors are locked!!

Oh my god, Shell, that's really scary!
Have you heard anything since about what happened?
That's so awful when something that like happens so close to home, we had our road blocked off a couple months ago because a few blocks down a guy was holding somebody hostage in this abandoned house - really freaked me out!

Sounds like you had a heck of a workout too!

Yes... here is the latest!!

Shooting suspect surrenders in Bellevue
By HECTOR CASTRO
P-I REPORTER

A person sought as a suspect in a weekend shooting in West Seattle that left one man dead turned himself in Sunday afternoon.

"Just before 4 p.m., a juvenile who stated that he was involved in the shooting turned himself in to us," Bellevue police Officer Greg Grannis said.

There was no information available as to why the suspect was in Bellevue when he surrendered.

The shooting happened inside a vehicle about 3:40 p.m. near the intersection of 59th Avenue Southwest and Southwest Admiral Way, Seattle police reported.

According to a police report, the victim himself called 911 to report he had been shot.

A witness told officers that he was driving northbound on 59th when he passed a black Nissan Maxima parked on the side of the road. Inside, he saw two men struggling in the front seat, the witness said.

At the next stop sign, he looked in his rear view mirror, saw the passenger exit the car, kneel by the open passenger door, then he saw the driver's side window shatter. The passenger put something in his jacket, then ran.

When officers arrived, the found the 33-year-old victim in the driver's seat, which was reclined. The man had been shot twice in the side of his chest, and there was another wound in his arm.

The man was rushed to Harborview Medical Center, but did not survive.

P-I reporter Hector Castro can be reached at 206-448-8334 or hectorcastro@seattlepi.com.

Jeez, that's just awful!
At least the suspect has come forward so you know there is somebody with a gun running around your neighbourhood!
What a strange situation, though.... That's really sad that the victim didn't survive.

Are you still in the same condo that we visited you in? I remember that AGES ago you were talking about buying somewhere and then changed your mind but then I have been so absent and stuff, I never thought to ask if you ended up moving? Adrian and I are thinking about buying soon and it's so frustrating because everything is sooooooo expensive! So I can understand if you decided to stay where you are! (Also 'cause I liked that place where you were, great location!)
