After a really long absence...I'm back!

Hi everyone! I first discovered Heather's godsend of a book in 2001...in a shopping mall after I endured an especially horrid IBS-D attack. My life was changed since that epiphany, lemme tell ya!
Heather knows me, and hopefully remembers me...I've been away from this board for a few years due to a very active offline life.
I'm 47 years old, and in 2001 after changing my eating habits and lifestyle in terms of activity, not only did my IBS-D stop and I was actually able to throw out my Imodium that I'd carried everywhere (!), but I also lost well over 100 lbs without even intending to. I went from a size 26-28 to currently, size 6-8. Not only has my IBS-D stayed away these past 6+ years, but so has all the weight I lost.
THIS WAY OF LIVING WORKS! God bless you Heather!  Not only have I returned to a healthier way of eating (which I had been raised on but had gotten away from over the years), but I also was able to return to the active lifestyle I knew so well as a teenager (running, cycling.)

Thanks for sharing your story! It's so encouraging to hear stories like yours. You might want to post it on the IBS diet board since it gets a lot more visitors and I think some posters there would benefit from hearing a success story.
