How in the world is it already December?! We forgot to renew our tags on the car, and they expired on the 30th. Now we can't renew until next week... I REALLY hope I don't get a ticket...

Breakfast -
brown sugar oatmeal
water

Lunch -
leftover tofu spaghetti
water

Dinner -
homemade veggie soup (this is one of my favorite meals lately, can you tell?)
water

Snacks -
Graham crackers

I've done seven successful days of Phase 4, so it's on to Phase 5.

Phase 5 is Learn to Eat Slowly. There's really only one new task:

Put your utensil down between bites. If eating finger food, put the food down between bites.

Or to sum it up: When your mouth is full, your hands are empty.

The scoring ranges for Phase 5 are:
0: Excellent!
1-26: Good
27-44: Fair
45+: Start Again

Here's my actual report:

Phase 5, Day 1
Score: 21 - Good

I did my exercises again today - including walking. No back stretches though.

Here are the explanations for previous phases:
Overview, Phase 1, Phase 2
Phases 3 and 4

What I ate:

Pre-Breakfast:
Mug of decaf Constant Comment tea with generous teaspoon of honey
1/2 cup applesauce with 1 teaspoon Acacia

Breakfast:
1/2 cinnamon raisin bagel with Smart Balance Light
Mug of decaf Constant Comment tea with generous teaspoon of honey
One-A-Day Essential MultiVitamin; 500mcg Vitamin B12

AM Snack: I missed this

Lunch:
Leftover Little Minnie's Chicken Paprikash without the potatoes
1 cup noodles
Crudites: 1/2 carrot, small piece of cucumber, a little celery
500mg calcium from Tums; 200IU Vitamin D

PM Snack:
1/8 Gingerbread recipe from Heather's EFI Cookbook
Honeybush tea with 2 sugar lumps

Dinner:
1 turkey hot dog with ketchup, mustard, pickle relish, and onions on a hot dog bun
4 Crispy Potato Wedges (I make these with a little olive oil and lots of garlic salt)
Small green salad (this may NOT be IBS-safe for everyone): lettuce, deseeded cucumbers, green onions, broccoli, radishes, tomatoes, mushrooms
Oil and vinegar based dressing (this may NOT be IBS-safe for everyone)
500mg calcium from Tums; 500mcg Vitamin B12

Evening snack:
1 (overly large) bowl of Soy Dream Mocha Fudge "ice cream" with Better Than Hershey's Syrup on it
500mg calcium from Tums; 200IU Vitamin D

There was also one beverage that was not IBS-safe and not in my behavior modification guidelines. Sigh.

I got 6 additional teaspoons of Acacia throughout the day, for a total of 7 teaspoons of Acacia.
I got 64 ounces of fluid which is just barely enough.

breakfast: 2 very small mini pieces of French bread (I'd reached the end of the loaf)
snack: light spice muffin
lunch: six-inch turkey sub on white w/ lettuce and lite mayo (from Subway)
snack: pretzels
dinner part I: 1 1/2 mini turkey burgers, cup pears (minus most of the juice, which I spilled all over the front of my jeans -- while I was still at work, of course, though nearly everyone had left for the day)
dinner part II: Corn Pops w/ soy milk
snack: Chic-o-Stick (IBS-safe if you can handle PB, not sure if it's IC-safe)
liquids: water -- I forgot to keep track after 40 oz, but I probably had about 60 oz total, which is not enough
