Hi-
I'm new to this particular board, but glad I found it. I think logging in every day will be a big help! I've been struggling with IBS for a yearh & a half. I seem to have finally found the "magic" combination for me which includes Wellbutrin, Elavil and Celexa. Unfortunately the Elavil & Celexa are both known to cause weight gain. I've been taking the Elavil for a while now and gained 15 pounds. I started the Celexa 3 weeks ago. My goal is not to gain anymore weight, which I've been able to do so far.


I also have back & shoulder problems but have found The Gazelle machine is a lifesaver - no impact exercise. I try to do this for 35 minutes 4x a week, and stretch everyday.


I cut HFCS out of my diet about the same time I started taking Celexa and that's been VERY helpful. I miss my soda though!!


Today I had:

malt o meal w/ light soy milk
english muffin w/ honey

health valley blueberry cobbler bar

2 servings veggie chips
juice spritzer

turkey & black bean chili
small piece cornbread
dole fruit bar
waaayyy too many nilla wafers

have a good weekend!

I did a bit better yesterday than the day before...at least I ate something for breakfast, lunch and dinner...However, I went out to a party with my housemate and had half a beer on top of my dinner, which was a BIG mistake. I'm feeling pretty crappy this morning, but I'm going to do my best to eat safe, nutritious things throughout the day. I'm going to see my boyfriend tonight and I'll be staying at his house, which is always sort of difficult in terms of the food situation...but I'll do my best, and let you know how it goes.

Here's what I had yesterday:

*soy yogurt with organic raspberries

*small soy latte with cinnamonn and nutmeg

*1/2 veggie burger sandwich with goat cheese, avocado, lettuce, and tomato

*tempeh with sesame noodles and carrots...delicious!

*1/2 can of beer
