Hi Everyone,

So I am having a really hard time reporting in every day, but thought I would follow up on my weekly goal setting I did for myself last week, which were:
1 - No pop
2 - Exercise 3 times
3 - No snacking late in the evening before bed

So I did really well with no pop until Saturday - I also realised that I had one kid's slurpee earlier in the week.
I exercised twice, so not too bad.
And I did a lot better about snacking at night. Since I am never actually *hungry* I have been trying to just make myself teas I enjoy before bed rather than eating... say... 150 chocolate covered almonds...

I have decided this week that I am going to join Weight Watchers locally. I don't fully agree with all their strategies and think that I will be more generous to myself with the calories as they seem low for an active person my age, but I think maybe the structure will help me get back on track.. at least in the short term. I just can't keep watching the scale go up and up, it is driving me crazy. I feel like I don't even recognise myself. I could ignore my body changing somewhat, but now my face is different too and I can't stand it.
I will try to report in and let you all know how it's going, I could def. use any encouragement!
Anyway, so this week the goals are:
1 - No pop!
2 - Keep up the no snacking late at night
3 - 3 times exercise
4 - Limit chocolate intake to one "thinsations" 3 times in the week (one hundred calorie chocolate bars I am hoping will keep my chocolate craving at bay).

Cheers!
Steph

Hey ya'll,

So I know that a lot of us have said "NO!" to weight watchers in the past but I thought I should give it a shot just for the structure of it... And to that, now I say... WHAT STRUCTURE?
The website is alright, but for *FREE* I used to use that www.sparkpeople.com website and it was waaaaay better... and did I mention FREE?
I thought I'd be getting a lot more for my money, but it's nothing more than a "points tracker" (so calorie counter basically) and all the recipe ideas might be good for someone else but not for someone like me who can't eat the dairy that seems to be in every bloody recipe.
PLUS I signed up for the online one just thinking that's how I was signing up, but that's pretty much all I get. No meetings, no consulation or counselling...

I am so disappointed and feel SO STUPID for putting in my credit card information.
Oy.

Anyway, just wanted to share. After sort of a weird day of eating I actually used their "Points Tracker" and ate 31 points, exercised off 2 points which still left me 7 points over what I should have eaten.. it was all crap, though.. granola bars, some twizzlers, juice... not good.

Just wanted to share in case anyone else thinks of doing WW.

Steph
