unfortunately, as soon as my post-trainer soreness abated, i got hit with this crazy cold - i was totally knocked out all weekend, and now i have a deep, hacking cough you can hear half way to staten island. so no gym for me till i can breathe properly, alas.

I wish I had access to a personal trainer. That would uber cool. I live in a pretty rural area far from a professional gym. Don't you feel better now that you know what you need to do?

Oh yes, skip thr gym while you're sick!!!

I had bronchitis a while ago and skipped the gym for an entire week. I figured if I couldn't even shower myself, working out would kill me.

GET WELL SOON!

I sure do. I should see results a lot quicker and I feel like I am putting in my time wisely at the gym.

Do you have a dvd player? There are SO MANY fitness dvd's out there that could help you tone up too if you don't have access to a gym or trainer!

Hey!
Just wanted to stick my nose in here too... I was seeing a trainer a while back who trains a lot of real hardcore sports people, and she said to do the cardio at the end too BUT I still had to do 5-10 minutes (usually around 8) of cardio to warm up, then "dynamic stretching", then exercises, then cardio again at the end.
I think you do have to warm your muscles up a little in the beginning, it's the serious cardio you do at the end.

Cheers!

YES good point. She told me to do 5-7 mins of cardio to warm up and to stretch at the very end of the workout.
