ugh. bad period cramps meant bad sleep last night, and they weren't much better today, even coming through the tylenol. and for some reasons, no drug stores around me stock the thermacare pads - just the playtex ones that are about half as big. (well, sleeping around my plug-in pad again tonight.) and that burning stomach thing started again just a few minutes ago - took some pepto, and have chammomile tea brewing. boo. but done complaining now.

rice chex w/ lite soy milk

soy yogurt w/ corn flakes (see a trend of the week here?)

fake bologna sandwich (w/ reduced fat mayo, on this great white bread i got from fresh direct - comes frozen, i thaw two slices at a time - it's great, no preservatives, with a crust like french bread - mmm)
1 1/2 low-fat graham crackers

1/2 c apple sauce
1 1/2 graham crackers

baked sweet potato

honey wheat pretzels
a few whole wheat cookies

2 pieces white toast w/ honey
small bowl of rice chex w/ light soy milk

as usual, a little weighted towards night. but i really don't want to wake up hungry tomorrow, or be hungry in the middle of the night - i really want my stomach to stay calm, and if that means an unecessary bowl of cereal, it's worth it for now. still an okay day.

Well...I think it's just one of those medication nauseated days or the weather as I sit here sipping club soda to get the taste of vomit out of my stomach.

Anyways, here's what I ate:

turkey breast, 1/2c.

spinach
Portabella crumbles
spaghetti squash

More turkey breast, 1/2 c.

Grilled zucchini (I love it grilled best!)
Field greens
cauliflower "faux-taters"

***It would appear that everything from "More turkey to most of the cauliflower "faux-taters" ended up puked***

Just one of those days. Like Jaime, I'm hitting the pepto. & then some gravol, & then probably just some flat gingerale & peppermint tea in a while.

Kate.

Luna Bar

Crispix
toast
canned peaches

1/2 tuna sandwich
UFO corn chips (not baked, maybe too high in fat)

Ginger thins

Luna Bar

leftovers for dinner!
mushroom crumbles & garlic
chicken soup
mashed white and sweet potatoes
corn tortillas

I'm sure I'll snack later.

two bowls of apple & cinnamon oatmeal
a couple servings of raisins
two servings of eggbeaters

worked out at gym; 20 min for abs, 20 for arms and back. 30 min cardio (excluding bike ride).

I haven't been eating or sleeping very much lately. I'm currently surviving on 4 hrs and I usually get double that amount. Maybe its from the hypno. I've also gone from 102lbs to 98lbs during the past 4 days. I hope I don't lose too much weight. I just haven't been hungry lately.

... My b/f and I might be breaking up... that was my day.

Hmmm...maybe not quite enough, but I am proud of the choices I made today, considering how crampy and bloated I felt. Hope everyone had a great day!

Hi ya'll,

Breakfast: Oatmeal/Oat Bran. No soy milk. I keep letting it go bad as I don't drink enough and have to throw like 1/4 of the carton away. I put some blueberry jam to mix it in.. less than a tsp, because the plain oatmeal is getting a little "blech" for me.

Snack: S'mores Luna Bar

Lunch: Tuna mixed with "Ultra Low Fat Mayo" and 3 periogies with ICBINB.

Dinner: Small amount of chicken breasts. (Was in a hurry to get to school).

Snack: 2 twizzlers.

Note: This is the day that I go to a 3 hour class in the evenings, and work during the day. My big plan was to have something I could eat easily before I hurry off to class, but I am so bad at the "pre planning" that it never happened. I want to also "pre plan" for Tuesdays, as my body blast class is at 6:05 and goes for 1:15. I haven't been able to get myself to do that yet, either. I am thinking of starting to do some crock pot recipes for this day, and have leftovers for Wednesdays... we'll see how it goes. It is very difficult as I have no vehicle in the week and the store is kinda far to be carrying groceries back.
Ah well, I'll keep trying!

Cheers!

I still feel kind of nauseated. However, I've got some flat gingerale happening which really really helps. I had a migraine last night & popped some high-test prescription painkillers.

I hope the monthly torture has eased up for you.

Kate.

I have decided to go back to weighing once a month. The scale said I weighed 3 pounds more than Saturday and that is impossible!
Exercise: treadmilled 180 cals and 2 rounds weights and ball!
Ate:
maltomeal
banana
2 luna
2 pastry twists
eggs, spinach, mushrooms, toast
biscuits and gravy, creamed corn, potatoes
2 choc bites
soy ice cream
Total about 1700

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

No, I didn't want to lose that much weight. I lost 2 more pounds since yesterday, too. That makes me 96. I'm really trying to gain it back. It's hard because I think that part of it might actually be from the hypno program - it's working VERY well!! My IBS is practically non-existant, now!!

As for Aaron and I... well... let's just say we won't be seeing eachother anymore.

is it because of ibs that you're only eating oatmeal?

(i feel like i don't know what circumstances you're coming from, how the diet fits in to what you're trying to do, and how your ibs affects your eating. the obvious answer is "eat more," but it's never that simple.)

Well, its sort of from the IBS but also because oatmeal is just sooo easy and quick. It tastes good, too. And its cheap! Before I developed IBS, I practically lived off of cold cereals, so I guess I just don't tire of the same foods very quickly.

and i know this either sounds annoying or obvious - again, just trying to understand where you're coming from, so i can read what you're posting in context - is the amount of food an ibs issue? we've hit on touchy things here before, with people trying to tell other people how to eat, and i'm not meaning to do that. just trying to understand, because the connections (from wanting to gain weight to eating only oatmeal, and not a lot at that) aren't clear to me.

Oh. Well, yeah. It sort of is connected to the IBS. I am scared to eat a lot during the day because I fear that it'll get bad again. I've been clearing out either entirely or I get that feeling that I'am cleared out even when I'm not. I don't bloat up anymore at all and I can be out earlier than ever before and later, too! Its a lot of fun to me! I couldn't even remember the last time I could go out before 10:00 am and be out past 10:00pm without any problems whatsoever. But I guess there's only one way to find out what will happen and I'm doing just that. I'm eating a little bit better and more today. I don't know. I don't think I'll have any problems. I'm somewhat confident about that.
