I have had ulcerative colitis and diagnosed with H-Pylori over the years also. My IBS is characterized by frequent diarrhea. I am rarely constipated. I have put on weight for many reasons but I always wondered if there is a connection to the diarrhea and weight gain since it is likely my body is not asorbing enough nutrients with the diarrhea and therefore slowing down my metabolism to compensate.
