These post-dinner sugar cravings are crazy! I'm going to try to cut down my sodium intake and see if that helps. I eat WAY too much salt..on Everything.

B- Organic puffed millet, honey frosted flakes, almond milk
S- Brocolli Soup, 1 GF toast
L- Quinoa cooked in veg. broth with carrots, onion, garlic, butternut squash, clementine
S- More soup mmmm
D- Half acorn squash stuffed with homemade gf stuffing seasoned with Bragg's
Sugar- Nectar Bar, Soy yogurt with GF granola (headache!)

c- 1197

Tummy is still recovering from my trip. Its not even bloat, its SWOLLEN. And it makes me feel hungrier.

...you'll LOVE the Portabella Mushroom!

It's my favourite. The broth is really good, too.

rice crispies

pretzels, dunked in dijon mustard
a few really sour kosher dill pickles
a few green beans

zucchini "hash"
portabella mushrooms (sprinkled with rice parmesan cheese)
asparagus "sauce" (with a wee bit of hidden spinach!)

rice crispies

1/2 serving of pretzels dunked in dijon mustard
another pickle

well, i feel a bit better. i'm not sure if i wanted the green beans or not. habit? will think about it more consciously versus resorting to habit, next time.

i wish i had more room for my potatoes, but i just get full so fast on the other stuff! still not enough calories, i suppose. who cares, now.

Ok, I have not been doing well lately...Thanksgiving has been rough, but I'm hoping to get back on track this week.
Here's the damage for today:

*banana, soy yogurt, and cereal

*fake bacon "BLT" with grapes

*baked potato with vegan butter, spring mix salad, and sauteed tofu, plus a glass of wine and a decent sized piece of pumpkin pie

I *love* pumpkin pie, and finally gave in to temptation tonight. I'm trying not to beat myself up about it, because I really did enjoy it, and my tummy doesn't seem too angry about it. We'll see how I feel tomorrow...

I can't wait to try it! I was expecting something watery or weak, not the advertised creaminess. Soooo happy for my belly. Thanks for the suggestion

Just wondering how the mushrooms "worked" for you? Were they "okay/safe?" I find them one of my safest foods, along with zucchini.

You seem to favour wheat based foods, I note. (no judgement, just an observation!) It sounds like you have found a few foods that work even when times are rough. Yay!
I just personally find rice-based foods more gentle. Rice is universally digestible and has all the amino acids.

Hey Kate! The mushrooms were good and sat okay! I am going to make a egg white and mushroom omelette for lunch and see how that does. Do egg whites sit okay with you???

I skipped the cream of wheat this morning. I'm going to see if I improve a little more without the wheat stuff. I felt good yesterday until I ate another bowl of cream of wheat.....I got a little gassy. So, I just ate a mini bagel this morning to get my digestive system started and I'm not having any problems, so far.

How do you make your zucchini fries??? I bought some zucchini last night and would like to try that out.

Also, I hate plain wite rice......I gag when I eat it. I don't know why, I can't handle it. I LOVE rice with butter and turkey gravy over it, but I can't have that anymore!!!! Is there a YUMMY way I could fix the rice so I could eat it??? I couldn't find any of that portabello broth you were talking about. My grocery store didn't carry any broth besides all the stuff with MSG in it. My health food store doesn't even carry any food at all......I don't know if I live near a health food store that carries food......?????

What did you eat this morning??? How are you feeling, today??? Any nausea??? Hey, also.....how do you fix your mushrooms???

Michelle
