Will Going back onto Antidepressants Help?

Hey

Just wondering if anyone can help me out, ive been going through a very bad patch with my ibs lately but also i have been feeling very sick after every meal almost to the point of being sick and also my anxiety has been gettting very bad i have also been feeling very spaced out and dizzy, i told my gp and she seemed to think going back onto anti-depressants was the way forward and could help but i cant understand why?

You need to get the anxiety under control and the meds can help that. And because of the mind-gut link, the a-d's can also help the IBS.

You have GOT to address that anxiety or you won't be able to stabilise the IBS. Have you considered the hypno program?

I've considered hypnothearapy for a while but i havnt a clue who to contact to get it all started, i did read in our local paper that i woman who had had ibs for 6 years (same time as me) had hypnothearapy and pretty much all her symptoms went!
